Italy still on figurative fire (USA in trouble)

If you've seen the Carlson show it was probably just a glimpse between watching that really in-depth stuff on CNN. Here is the clip for your review...

https://bwi.forums.rivals.com/threads/ufo-evidence-that-demands-a-verdict.237902/

Fravor was one of the most respected pilots within the U.S. Navy. He is not a drunken crackpot sighting lights in the night sky. Fravor's testimony, and the video, have been corroborated by other naval witnesses, including the chief radar officer. It was broad daylight. The History Channel even did a series on this.

To me it is very telling that this was aired on Fox. That speaks volumes to Carlson's reporting when we consider the belief systems of many who watch the channel. (You obviously don't know based on your post.) I can't imagine a channel like CNN airing something that would spin the minds of their fanbase. They would not risk it. It's the difference between reporting facts and spinning the facts for propaganda.

My prior post still stands as completely true. That kind of segment goes right into his base's wheelhouse.

Debate Ends Over Chloroquine as France Officially Sanctions Usage

Days after beginning a large scale double blinded trial, the so called gold standard, France has now reached the conclusion chloroquine is recommended to treat corona.

Speaking at a news conference, Jérôme Salomon (pictured), France’s director general of health, said the officially sanctioned prescriptions of chloroquine to treat corona “allows a temporary authorization to allow certain patients with coronavirus to benefit from this therapeutic route.”

Doctors in France now will finally be able to treat patients with Didier Raoult, a renown doctor that specializes in infectious diseases, announcing new clinical results that show out of 80 patients treated with chloroquine, 78 recovered within 5 days.

That’s considerably more than the usual 14 days and for some it can go up to 28 days if they recover at all.

The Minister of Health, Olivier Véran, further said on Thursday that doctors can now prescribe chloroquine both in hospital and for home usage:

“Hydroxychloroquine and the combination of lopinavir / ritonavir may be prescribed, dispensed and administered under the responsibility of a doctor to patients affected by Covid-19, in the healthcare establishments which take charge of them, as well as for the continuation of their treatment if their condition allows it and with the authorization of the initial prescriber, at home”.

In America considerable politics has developed over chloroquine, but New York should be out with the results on Monday which may lead to a US wide sanctioned usage of treatment.

In UK the government has prohibited its use outside of trial, but that position is probably untenable now as they have to explain why they are not treating patients as France is doing.

The hope is that once general treatment is given, and preferably early treatment, this situation can be contained as in South Korea or in China or in much of Asia.

HHS accepts donations of medicine to Strategic National Stockpile as possible treatments for COVID-19 patients

FDA issues emergency use authorization for donated hydroxychloroquine sulfate, chloroquine phosphate
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) today accepted 30 million doses of hydroxychloroquine sulfate donated by Sandoz, the Novartis generics and biosimilars division, and one million doses of chloroquine phosphate donated by Bayer Pharmaceuticals, for possible use in treating patients hospitalized with COVID-19 or for use in clinical trials. These and other companies may donate additional doses, and companies have ramped up production to provide additional supplies of the medication to the commercial market.

“President Trump is taking every possible step to protect Americans from the coronavirus and provide them with hope,” said HHS Secretary Alex Azar. “Scientists in America and around the world have identified multiple potential therapeutics for COVID-19, including chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine. The President’s bold leadership and the hard work of FDA and HHS’s Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response have succeeded in securing this large donation of medicine. We’ll continue working around the clock to get American patients access to therapeutics that may help them battle COVID-19, while building the evidence to evaluate which options are effective.”

HHS’ Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) worked with colleagues within HHS, the companies, the Department of State, and the Department of Homeland Security to secure the donated shipments. Given the importance of understanding the efficacy of these medications for the treatment and prevention of COVID-19, federal agencies, such as the National Institutes of Health and ASPR’s Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA), are working together to plan clinical trials.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) to BARDA to allow hydroxychloroquine sulfate and chloroquine phosphate products donated to the Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) to be distributed and prescribed by doctors to hospitalized teen and adult patients with COVID-19, as appropriate, when a clinical trial is not available or feasible.

There are no “politics” about this. Just people pointing to the fact that the study that the Hope was initially based on was of 28 people. Anyone claiming that people were “hoping” it didn’t work are sick individuals. Nuance is your friend.
Glad this is working.

Hey they forgot to report this little tidbit about Dr. Zelenko:

Zelenko said that about 350 of the roughly 500 patients he has treated for coronavirus symptoms are from Kiryas Joel, while the other 150 live in the Monsey area, where his second clinic is located.

He said he has largely not had his patients tested for coronavirus, because he worried that waiting for test results to begin treatment would compromise the treatment’s effectiveness.

Huh? He didn’t test them for COVID19? Then how does he know it works?????

I hope it's true - but I find myself scratching my head wondering why no one else is reporting this supposed groundbreaking news, particularly since the French government made the announcment three days ago (btw - the French government is allowing limited use of the drug, they aren't exactly hyping it as a wonder drug for all). Also, I'm going to withhold my judgment until I see evidence from someone other than Didier Raoult, since he is the same guy who made the original pronouncment that hydroxychloroquine was an effective treatment. Despite the headline, I don't think the debate is quite over yet.

I'd love to respond to this and attempt to educate you but this board is not the place for it. It's a delicate subject. Go ahead and believe what you want. Your reality is unique to yourself.

Maybe it's because the french doc just shouldn't be trusted, he has a sketchy history and has been barred in the past for a year from publishing in medical journals.
