Definitely a trap game
What concerns me about this game is how the Panthers played Wisconsin last year (see link)... it took the Badgers until half way through the 4th quarter to get the lead back and barely beat Georgia State by the time it was all over.

Can we stop this crap now? We are a top 10 team heading into the season. They are 2-9 sun belt team with a new coach. It will be night game at home. How the F do you think this is going to be a trap game? I swear some of you guys learn some buzz word and apply it to any crap you can think of.
You go -3 on turnovers (as Wisconsin did in that game) --- you may get bit.
Georgia State actually IS decent enough. Some players on D, and despite their 3-9 record in 2016 I expect they'll win enough Sun Belt games to make a Bowl in 2017.
But, as long as we aren't overly careless with the football, we should win easily.
So you are just going to ignore every other game they played and look at one game? How about the 34 point loss to Air Force or 25 point beat down af Idaho? How about 2 touchdown loses to power houses Arkansas State or Louisiana-Monroe?What concerns me about this game is how the Panthers played Wisconsin last year (see link)... it took the Badgers until half way through the 4th quarter to get the lead back and barely beat Georgia State by the time it was all over.

Your point is well taken, but I think Wisconsin had 2 turnovers in that game.

The point is, it's in between the Pitt game and B1G play. A blowout of Pitt, combined with some upsets elsewhere, could have this team well within the top 4 and believing its own hype. Franklin's teams, including last year, have a history of starting out flat. (In 2016 we edged Temple by 7; in 2015 we beat Army by 6.) It would be easy to overlook GSU because, frankly, most people are not aware that they even have a football team.
Wisconsin's offense is a little easier to figure out than ours. GSU is not going to hold us down on offense and their offense isn't good enough to score with us.The OP's subject was Georgia State, and that's what I addressed. Of course you're right about those other games and GAST's record, but that has nothing to do with how they played Wisconsin... and at Camp Randall I might add.

I agree with the "crap" vs "trap" game. And I have sold my ticket. A 7:30 kickoff for the fans who are coming 3.5 hours each way is a jokeIf you play a CRAP game it becomes a TRAP game.
62-6. Only trap is a speed trap on 322 if you leave early.Definitely a trap game

IIRC, I think the 2007 ND - PSU game was a 6:00PM kickoff.....seems like a reasonable time. Better than a 3:30PM game, not as brutal as an 8:00PM kickoff.
Don't remember any other games at PSU starting at 6:00PM.
