CJF, "We just did not have enough explosive plays." Don't get me wrong, I love the bombs to KJ, or whomever decides that they're going to try to catch the ball for the day and support CJF. But that mentality leaves me thinking... I've played, kid has played, but never coached, so no experience at that level.

IMHO, it gives me the feeling that it's what we always look for first... instead of what the D gives us. I'd prefer the dinks, dunks, slants, more over the middle and converting short 3rd downs to sustain drives to setup the bigger plays. 'Explosive plays' are very good, LoL, and needed when peppered in intelligently, but I think when you're trying to get some footing, small wins for the offense to build momentum... if it's good, it's awesome; if it's off, then it's one of those one step forward, two steps back type deals - screwing both the O & D... always seems like they have Cliff (or whoever) taking 3-4 step drops with the line needing to hold on for too long.
