This was horrible. Donavan and Franklin have no clue how to run an offense.

It certainly doesn't help when your QB is completely incapable of recognizing a blitz, has ZERO recognition or pocket presence, has the diametric opposite of a "quick release", etc.... - in essence, have you ever seen CH avoid a sack of any kind? Have you have ever seen him roll out of the pocket, avoid pressure and throw the ball OB once out of the "tackle pocket"? Have you ever remotely seen him do anything other than RUN INTO PRESSURE?????? Beyond all those opposite of NFL-qualities, his accuracy and consistency is beyond awful and just flat out sucks -- you can count on him throwing a field-flipping INT on a meaningless down in just about every game. Beyond amusing that people believe he's a "sure thing" 1st Round NFL player -- not just beyond, over-the-rainbow absurd.

That's sort of it. Hack isn't doing ANYTHING to upset the rhythm of the defense. Not throwing a good screen. Not hitting a downfield receiver. Not moving away from pressure. Not stepping up in the pocket when it exists.

It's coaching but it is also Hack. Did he scramble once? 10 sacks (last two he just sort of flopped) and I don't recall one scramble. Maybe he had one, but even Tom Brady scrambles from time to time for a yard or two.

During the off season when people were hyping Hack over and over I didn't post but this is exactly the Hack I remember from last season. The OL blaming is getting out of hand. We had full NFL DLs at times and played the likes of Temple and their QB played better than HAck did today.

has ZERO recognition or pocket presence

He does not seem comfortable unless everything is perfect in the pocket. His first step when having to move up or to either side is not true. He just does not have good feet.

I thought that Hack had a pretty good game in a win against Michigan a couple of years ago, maybe that was when O'Brien was the head coach.

Somebody has to explain to me how this kid could go downhill so fast and so bad in 2 years time. I think the guy has been given a real bad wrap by less than capable coaching staffs. O'Brien should have told the kid while he was recruiting him that the first NFL team to come calling O'Brien would be jumping ship and that Hackenberg should really think about taking another offer. I still would like to know why Charlie Fisher was given the boot. Fisher helped Hackenberg and after he departed Hackenberg has gone downhill. O'Brien was not fair to Hackenberg and now the kid is paying the price.
