Oh wow--big news! Would love to see him face the Raptor, fireworks for all.

Dhesi has been around since the 2013-14 season I believe. He must have received a medical year extension (redshirt)

Wow, that is big news. I'm not sure how Stoll is #1 right now but he doesn't concern me much. Cassar vs. Dhesi, I'm interested in that.

...and four years ago, Gingrich handled him, 5-0. Improved since then obviously.

The article says he will rejoin the team next semester. How do you think this will impact his seeding at NCAAs? If he doesn't hit an open tournament before he returns to school he will only have wrestled approximately 11 total matches after the Pac-12 tournament and the only currently ranked guy he has on the schedule is intermats #20th ranked Brian Andrews.

Cassar needs to hit the weights hard and put on 10 to 15 pounds of muscle throughout his body including legs....Dhesi has trouble with really big strong guys who can wrestle well....Cassar has the skills....

He'll also face AJ, who is ranked 19th by Flo.

Article only says he'll be in Corvallis for 2nd quarter. Doesn't say when he'll start competing. If he competes at Reno (which is after fall finals), then he'll also face two out of Orndorff, White, AJ, and Andrews.

Either way he'll be undefeated heading into nationals, and doubt he'd be seeded below 3rd. Especially considering there will be at most 1 other undefeated wrestler (B10 champ) and conceivably none.

Also conceivable (though unlikely): Cassar wins B10s and has Dhesi, Steveson, and Stoll all on the other side of the bracket. Stoll would have to lose to someone else (White or Wood?) so it's improbable but possible.

I see, so he just has to wait for the Fall term to end not for the Winter term to begin.

Typically that's how long he "has" to wait, presuming he's already enrolled for spring quarter before then. Doesn't mean he chooses to start competing the day after finals -- though he competed at Worlds, so gotta think he's still in or close to competition shape.

What? The deadlift of Wood doesn't ease your fears?

Does a Penn State athlete exist who doesn't need to hit the weights hard, IYHO?

Yea, after he picked up Wood and threw him to the mat, I was thinking the same thing. ;)
Right now, he throws people to the mat. With more muscles, he will throw people through the mat! :)
