Cawlidge Hawkey This Week (2/26-2/29/2020) - PSU B1G Champions!!!

Also, good if Cornell beats Clarkson. Clarkson probably jumps us with a win tonight.
Good call! I see that Big Red is up 2-1 over the Golden Knights early in the 2nd. I didn't realize that the ECAC only awards 2 points per conference game (regulation ties result in 1 point per team), meaning that Cornell wrapped up the regular season ECAC title when Clarkson tied last night.

Crazy that all three underdogs/road B1G teams are grabbing all the points this weekend. Last night the road teams got 8 of 9 points. Tonight it would be 6 of the first 9 if the current results held, with Wisconsin at OSU starting soon.

So... for the weekend, road teams/ underdogs went 3-0-3-2, picking up 14 of 18 points. OSU got 1 pt, Minnesota got 1 point, and ND got 2 points. B1G is tough!

Saturday Night/Leap Day Action (Continued)!!!

Other Non-B1G Action
Denver and St. Cloud each with 1 near end of 1st.
Denver takes a 2-1 lead into the end of the 2nd.
Denver up 3-1 early 2nd. Cornell up 2-1 over Clarkson midway through 2nd (thanks RGWhirly!).
Denver still up 3-1 in the 2nd & Cornell still up 2-1 over Clarkson near end of 2nd.
Denver still leading St. Cloud 3-1 near end of 2nd, Cornell still leading Clarkson 2-1 end of 2nd.
Denver and Cornell both win big (5-2 and 5-1). Cornell-Clarkson got ugly late in the 3rd with 4 players receiving 10-minute game misconduct penalties (2 from each team).

1st Period (B1G Late Game)
OSU up 1-0 over Wisconsin early 1st. Still 1-0 with about 8 left in 1st. OSU still leading 1-0 end of 1st.
OSU up 3-1 mid 2nd.
Wisconsin scored again in the 2nd to make it 3-2 OSU. Early 3rd.
Wisconsin ties it up 3-3 with around 3 minutes left in regulation. Buckeyes with the first three goals, Badgers with the last three.
Going to OT. If this goes to OT2 or SO and Wisconsin gets the extra point, there will be a three-way tie between OSU, Michigan, and Minnesota.
Wisconsin get the SOW in OT2!
OSU has the tie-breaker over Michigan and Minnesota and Michigan has it over Minnesota.
