Anyone see Scott's tweet about the colored tiles on the Fraser Centre?

409 colored tiles.
The colors represent the team defeated.

Unreal, yet subtle. I love it.

So any significance in the order? Is that last tile Illinois or is it Ohio State?

Last three were Purdue Northwestern Illinois?

Unsure on the significance of the order... what would be a really cool find is the final building plans that delineate the tiles... not sure if architectural plans would have that level of detail or not.

I am thinking the blue tiles are the wins, the other colors are the primary team color of the loses. So, the last non-blue tile would be red, for Bama. The Illinois game for #409 would be the last game under JVP.

Not sure if they are in any specific order. Not even sure if there are 409 blue tiles plus the 150 or so others for losses, or if there are just 409 tiles in the entire wall. I'm sure someone will clarify that at some point.

Great concept, great idea, and a great way to commemorate the 409 achievement by Joe and his teams.

Was this planned, or done "under the radar"?

My guess is under the radar.... no prior publicity that I am aware of, and I think it has been completed for a little while now.

Scott just tweeted about it today or yesterday, I think, so I'm wondering if the family even knew ahead of time?!

Anyway, it will make me smile a little smile each time going by it.

I have to ask - where on campus is the Frazier Centre?

(and, if they ever tear it down - who gets to say - Down goes Frazier!).

It's new, just opened this summer. Hotel, condos, restaurant, Target, A&E(?). On Fraser between College and Beaver, across from Hammond.

It'll be a good 8-10 years before they tear it down and award another contract to some well-connected BOT-ish folks in the commercial real estate business. Maybe with a casino! Although, that time frame may be shortened if they figure out the nod to JVP. They'll drag the wall out to Rod's farm.
