- Why do we have a play where jet motion runs a fake underneath the running back and then we hand off to the running back? Takes too much time
The play-action to the WR is supposed to act similarly to a misdirection play where the goal is to get the defense moving one way when the play is going another.
- Why are receivers running routes that have them standing right next to each other when the ball is thrown?
I can't imagine that the play is designed to do that. Some of the routes are on the WR to break-off and find soft spots. It's completely possible that these errors are on the players not the offensive design.
- Why is anyone not telling our QB to not throw the ball 180 mph on 2 yard passes?
Once again, I can't imagine this is something that is being actively encouraged.
- Why are our best players not on the field? So Barkley goes down, want to win the game? Burn Robinsons RS. Scott has no vision and Allen is not an every down back. Further, there is no way you can't tell me Juwan Johnson isn't our best Red Zone threat. I have also long suspected Bates is probably the best OL on the team.
You're second question of "want to win the game?" is interesting to me because Penn State did win the game. In fact, they covered the spread. Not sure what point you're making.
Do we know that Robinson is better? Have you seen him pass block, pick up the playbook, anything since his last game at McD last fall? Scott had a couple runs in garbage time when the other team had 9 guys in the box. Hardly a useable sample to gauge a player's ability.
Johnson very well may be that threat, but are you going to burn a redshirt just to put a guy in for 1 or two plays a game?
To say Bates is the best OL on the current roster is ridiculous. I'm not even going to comment on that any further.
- Why are the players on the field not being utilized to their skill? Gisecki is supposed to be able to dunk from the NBA 3 point line. Fade? Jump Ball?
He's also dropped 2 touchdown passes. Soooo there's that
- Not one bubble screen against a team that's corners are playing 10 yards off. Are you kidding me? It used to be your only play.
