Just a fun fact: Joe McGettigan spoke with Bruce Castor (while he was MontCo DA) about using Cynthia Baldwin as part of their case strategy with the PSU3.

Unless Castor was blowing smoke up my ass, he told McGettigan not to do it. It stunk.

McGettigan & Fina did it anyway.

As you know - it did stink. Baldwin was tossed as a witness & ironically Castor - as Solicitor General - upheld the Appellate Court’s decision on dumping Baldwin.

I really hate these guys.

I tend to think of them as small minded petty individuals who tried to manipulate the courts, the Grand Jury the supervising judge, a corrupt governor and his head of the State Police, and several lazy, inept members of the press to cover up their own failures to respond to a deplorable situation when corbutt was attorney general.

They had to get the pressure off of themselves, transfer it to someone else, and possibly improve their careers. The porno ring blew that up and showed how hypocritical they were.

I suspect all the strings were being pulled by Pennsylvania's corrupt political machine in Harrisburg and Montgomery County.

As a teacher in California, this shit has now bled into the educational system here with this stupid survey I have to take every year that now includes the "Penn State Scandal" and coaches as "mandated" reporters. As part of the survey, I pretty much have to agree that I (also as a mandated reporter) won't **** things up like Penn State "did." However, the person I have been dealing with (at the survey-maker) has been very cool and cooperative in regard to listening to my side of the story as I try to disprove the media narrative we all know so well. All of the evidence they use in their argument comes from....where else??...THE FREEH REPORT!!!! Go figure...but since she has been very receptive to all the things I have sent her (and she has even hinted at changing the Penn State slide in the survey next year) I want to give her the benefit of the doubt, for now. With the benefit of hindsight, we'll see how that goes...see what I did there? But....if the Penn State slide is still part of their survey next September...my plan is to go public with it on social media and I would really hope I can get your support on letting this company know that they too bought the false narrative and as a beacon of "education" they need to be called out too. I am so sick of knowing my colleagues and every teacher thinks they are reading this crap as gospel each year. I respect all you have done for Penn State and even though we have never corresponded, I hope you don't mind if I can lean on your leverage, if needed. Have a great weekend!

His wife and charity VP Katherine Genovese is (was) a certified school teacher in the state. By 2001 she should have known damned well what constituted misconduct around youth, recognized these red flags of misconduct and asked a hell of a lot more questions of what the hell Jerry was doing with Second Mile kids.

• Babysitting a Second Mile youth at their home
• Personal phone calls, texts, letters and visits to Second Mile youth
• Personal car rides and overnight stays in hotel rooms with Second Mile youth
• Gifts, cash & freebies distributed to Second Mile youth
• Overnight trips out of state with Second Mile youth
• Monkeying around with Second Mile youth in hotel swimming pools
• Disrobing around a Second Mile youth

Jack had complaints hit his desk in 1998 and failed to implement a written safety plan (as per state mandate) and when Tim Curley is meeting with him in 2001 - Jack knows damned well by this time that Jerry is accessing Second Mile youth outside of his his prescribed role with the charity, and again - fails to implement a written safety plan.

ANY public school teacher would see these red flags, and what that would mean. Had Jack or Katherine implemented controls in 2001, Aaron Fisher never happens. Hell, had they implemented controls in 1998, 2001 never happens.
