21st Century Fox deal with Disney

it appears that Disney will be acquiring much of 21st Century Fox’s assets. This would mean that Deadpool and Wolverine could end up in the next Avengers film. It also includes a number of Fox owned cable networks, including FX, the National Geographic channel, and 22 regional sports networks among others. Luckily, the BTN will remain part of FOX, so the four letter network can still suck it.

This was the counter offer by Disney that Fox has agreed to for $71.3 billion. Comcast offered $65 billion last week. Fox wants to do business with Disney because they are afraid a merger with Comcast would create regulatory issues that could cause the deal to get nixed by the government.

Last I checked, Fox hasn't yet accepted the offer.

The bigger hurdle was that the Comcast offer would not be tax-free.
