Lots of Zain hand fighting & pressure.
5:00 left. Someone warned for passivity, cannot tell who.

Zain on the shot clock.
Zain goes hi-crotch + upper body, lifts!!, loses grip, works for the go-behind before shot clock expires, 2-0 Zain.

Break / 2-0 Zain.
2:10... ties & hand fighting, no real shots.
TJK in on a low shot, Zain defends, chest wrap for exposure !!

Zain up now on mat B. Head wrap already on! Little feisty from the start. Hard hand fighting but no committed attacks yet. Zain on the clock first. Beautiful shot but Zain tries to go big and gets nothing. Stays with and gets the Td. 2-0 and takes away the shot clock. 2-0 at the break
1 min into the second and no attacks yet. Akhmedov hasn’t taken a single attack all match. Zain gets 2 on an exposure and goes up 4-0. Big points there to stretch the lead a bit. Zain just holding position now. Front head kills some time and it ends 4-0 for Zain. Tougher match than maybe expected but never in doubt either

Seems like an immutable law of nature that in the match immediately prior to the one you're waiting on there will be a late, meaningless challenge. It's like overtime in the women's basketball game before your dual starts on BTN.
No way would I wrestle Zain in practice… I’d punch him every time.
Tajikistan's Joey McKenna is holding his own so far against Zain
Tajik forgot you have to score to win. That shot clock was very sus to me. Survive and advance!

Zain will get Abhimanyou from India next. Know nothing about him but he has 2 big wins so far. Knocked off Nykyforuk first round by tech. Looks like it could be a pretty tough match

Hey, we’ve all had those guys in the room. After a few fights, I’m sure we’d be fine.
But man does he annoy guys with his handfight. They’re not even getting judo face chop Zain!
Atri from Iran goes down to Ogawa from Japan. Big for the team race. Atri was the number 1 seed. Vito will wrestle Ogawa next. Win and Atri won’t place. Vito should win the way he is wrestling
On a positive note, I’m learning a lot about shingles!
Parris up on mat C vs Cuban transfer Conyedo who now represents Italy. Double to bodylock and Mason runs him out for 1. Another shot and step out. 2-0 Parris. Conyedo goes on the clock. Attack Mason, reattack Conyedo and Mason kicks out. Nice little scramble. 3-0 after the shot clock point and into the break
Parris continues attacking but nothing close. Conyedo has pretty stout defense but he’s not initiating any offense at all. :30 left. Conyedo in on a shot with :15 and it’s close but Parris scrambles out. 3-0 win and Parris moves on

When you rely on the gut instead of the fall, it might take 40 seconds to end the match, instead of 15.

FYI - Appears they are holding all matches & running all 4 quarters at the same time on 4 mats.
Just ran 70 kg.
Now 61 kg.
Then 125 & 86.
But why? It's pointless, everybody is ready to go but let's just sit here for five minutes for no reason.
