Zain/Yianni wrestle off location

Seems each match these two have made adjustments to counter the others. In this match Yanni came at zain and was more offensive, zain picked his spots.

Im still wondering why PSU tossed the brick in the 1st. the video angle clearly to me didnt look like 2.

When was the last time Yianni was held (essentially) scoreless?

No offensive or defensive points.

Pathetic people trashed Zain when he won. Celebrated and said it's over when Yianni got the rematch and now are just saying he won't do as well at Worlds as Yianni because he RE-EARNED his spot.

The amount of hate Zain, one of the kindest and humblest wrestlers, gets is truly mind boggling. Those people can all go get bent.

So I know people are saying Zain didn't shake Yianni's hand, was there time left? I'd tread lightly in that case haha.

Trust Cael.......you mean like throwing the brick while Yanni was in a superior position to stop the action and prevent a 2 by giving up 1.....I loved it as soon as CP said "brick" Tee Hee…...Brilliant. Of course I think it was 6 seconds after the possible exposure... ..so....lawyers on speed dial :)

Appreciate the clarification, Zain is the last wrestler I'd ever expect to not shake hands. Hell, he shook Deluca's lol

My bad if you took this from the recap, I meant it more as Yianni conceded early and Zain (smartly) didn't shake with time on the clock. They shook after the match.

Nothing to apologize for, I did catch it on there but I also saw a few mentions elsewhere. I thought Yianni tried to shake his hand with like 10 seconds left so that is kind of dangerous. I really appreciate you taking the time to do that. Great work!

Nomad pretending this is a controversy.

Here is a clip of the sequence:

Zain clearly initiates the roll-through and exposes, so I'm not sure what the controversy is.

Ironically this is a bit of role reversal; it's typically Yianni attempting the roll, often just as he's about to get exposed himself by the guy in on his legs. That's why he's so tough to beat in FS--he turns your points into his at the absolute last possible moment. But this was Zain's two. Maybe Nomad is implying that Yianni's back never broke the plane but I think it's clear enough he did, and it's not the type of call that's going to get reversed.

Thought Zain looked great again today, and most importantly, healthy. A lot of credit to him and the staff for the good game plan. Yianni didn't have much for him today and I think Zain might have been able to score more if he was more aggressive on his finishes, but that might have given Yianni more opportunities as well so I can't blame him.

On both days where they've been able to specifically prepare for Yianni, I think he's looked better prepared and like the better guy. Congrats to you guys on the win! I'm sure this feels like justice after the whole arbitration debacle.

Can't see or think anything other than 100% joy for Zain. All the other stuff, whether it's hate, excuse-making, sour grapes, whatever -- doesn't matter one iota.

Congrats to Zain, now it's time to think about and get ready for the World Championships. :):):):):):):):):)

Awesome. I was in the camp Zain would need two matches to close it out. For the detractors Zain was both the better tactician and the more aggressive.

I need to go back and learn more about free since I to thought Zain clearly initiated the roll and as the RH still picture above illustrates to me, Yanni has clearly broken the plane for exposure.

Nonetheless, vs. anyone but Yanni, Zain probably has two more takedowns, and I can't get over how effective Zain's D was today. Huge win!!!!!

I’m ashamed to admit this... after returning from WB I lurked on HR. Kudos to the vast majority that appreciates the wrestling they saw. Banjo is math challenged though two three minute periods do not add up to 9  and he is a Crutgers fan.
