The line ended up at Tampa Bay -6 1/2 points, and the overwhelming % of bets were on the Bucs to cover. They go up early 21 - 7 and life looks good (the Eagles offense is absolutely horrible in the first half). Late in the 4th quarter the Eagles run it in for a TD to make the score 28 - 20. All they have to do is kick the extra point and TB should be able to eat up the rest of the clock and win (and cover) 28 - 21. But no, the Eagles surprise everyone and go for, and make, a two point conversion, so now it's 28 - 22. A lot of money exchanged hands on that one play!

To make matters even worse, the Bucs move right down the field after receiving the ball back while the Eagles are forced to use their remaining time out. TB gets to the Eagles 10 yard line with still about two minutes to go, but (correctly) don't try to either score a TD or attempt a field goal and just "kneel" the remaining downs and time away.

A very, very "Bad Beat" for Tampa Bay bettors and an absolute gift for Eagles bettors. Note --- A lot of 6 point and 10 point "teaser" bets on this weeks NFL games included TB, and they did cover.
