As most know, the BCS 2-Team 1-Game Championship was the direct predecessor to the current CFP 4-Team Invitational (and run by the same entities that then controlled the CFP - an Alliance of the P5, now P4, Athletic Conferences). The BCS did not use a Committee to select the 2 teams that played in the BCS Championship Game - they used a proprietary computer algorithm (again, this computer algorithm would then become the property of the CFP). So the BCS Computer Algorithm predicted 100% of the first 9 CFP Final Rankings correctly (including the Top 4 ordinally) - this is the first year that the CFP Selection Committee's Final Top 4 is different than the the BCS's Computer Algorithm's Top 4. It is just another example of how utterly subjective, and unprecedented, this year's selections were.
