US Open-Entries

What's your prediction if he does go this year??
I am not sure he's ready this year...
Not JS but I think he will move well enough to win the open. Spencer has a top game that really helps a guy limited in lateral movement. I do think Gilman presents a big challenge because it will require Spencer getting a takedown against great hands/head and some serious leverage. Nicky pushups presents much of the same challenge with the head/hands but doesn't have the leverage or veteran savvy of Gilman. I think I would put Spencer at 80/20 to beat Nick and 50/50 to beat Gilman if he can move around well.

I'm a bit surprised Carter isn't signed up, if not also AB. Was also really hoping for RBY. Has anyone seen what Roman has been up to since Tulsa?

Don't think this is the final list. Casey's email said 12 NLWC wrestlers going. None of the current team part of this 5.

If this has been posted before, I apologize.

I believe today is the last day wrestlers can register if they wish to be seeded.

The following have accepted their Final-X birth to be held on June 10th.
57 kgs - Gilman
65 kgs - Yanni
70 kg - Zain
74 kgs - Dake
79 kgs - Burroughs
86 kgs - Taylor
97 kgs - Snyder

No Lilledahl or Levi Haines? Seems odd that these 2 wouldn’t compete. Lilledahl pretty much wrestles everywhere and won world gold last summer. Levi wrestled a ton of freestyle last summer and nearly made the world team losing in the trial finals. Is today the last day to register?

Today is the last day for registration to be considered for seeding purposes. Still take late registrations after today, but there is a fee and wrestler wouldn't get a seed. Not sure when the hard cutoff is.

US Open semis will be pure fire if the brackets go to chalk early. Amazing.

Suriano / S. Lee
Vito / NaTo
Nolf / KO'T
Starocci / Ringer = only 6 NCAA titles there.
Marsteller / Bull
M. Hall / A Brooks
G. Stevenson / Parris
..... even McKenna/Lugo, Pantaleo/Sasso, Gross/Colon and Henderson / NLee are fun matches.

There are some very tasty quarters as well.

Don't forget - 2nd round: KemDog vs Nelson Brands LOL

McIntosh with a 5 seed could make a run @ 92kg.

I see a doable path for Nick Lee.

Kolodzik, Henderson, McKenna/Lugo

Lee/Henderson should be a barn burner. Evan beat Nick 11-10 last year to advance to Final-X.

You're not kidding there. He'd get Schultz in the quarters, then Moore in the semis, then Jackson or Macchiavello in the finals.

If he's back to where he was before his Army stint, he definitely can win that bracket.
Nate Jackson looks to just keep improving
