Frank Molinaro wins in a weight class heavily stacked with talent.

PSU's current wrestler Zain Retherford also makes the US Team at the same weight by finishing 3rd.

=====

What's next...

Each weight must have a qualifying win in international competition. So the next goal is to qualify this weight with an appropriate win.

There are two remaining international tournaments. One April 22-24 in Mongolia, where the US must finish in the top 3 to qualify this weight. Or, a US wrestler must finish in the final two in the last chance Turkey tournament, May 6-8.

Cael and Penn State -- what a match

Could be described as a:
match made in heaven
a classic match that a computer dating service could provide -- a perfect combo of the right guy in the right place at the right time

Congrats to Frank Molinaro, and look forward to seeing you in the Olympics (still a hurdle to cross before that, as TJ notes above that he must place in one of two international tournaments prior to the Olympics) and also congrats to NCAA champ Zain Retherford for placing 3rd in the same loaded weight class that Frank the Tank won
