Most headlines read that Alabama was amazing and dominated in a 10-0 win. Smash mouth football. Amazing! WTF? The only realistic summary about the SEC was found in the "Winners and Losers" article on ESPN. Where someone finally described Alabama's win as "escaping" LSU. Dominating wins by OSU, Mich, and Washington.....but the big story is that Alabama beat LSU 10-0? Come on, man!

SEC
Texas A&M is toast. So is LSU. And, most likely, so are the SEC's chances of getting two teams in the top four. The West has boiled down to the Iron Bowl, as Auburn and Alabama would each win the division if it wins out. Auburn got the help it needed when Mississippi State upset the Aggies 35-28, but that was only part of the equation. Auburn still has to beat Georgia and Alabama to win the West.

The SEC avoided chaos when No. 1 Alabama escaped LSU with a win, but outside of the consistently dominant Crimson Tide, it wasn't a good look for the league overall. Auburn barely squeaked by Vandy and Ole Miss had to stage a comeback to beat Georgia Southern.

Meanwhile, the SEC East might be the weakest Power 5 division in the country, as four-loss Kentucky -- the same Kentucky that opened the season with back-to-back losses to Southern Miss and Florida -- is trailing only the Gators in the division standings. The same Gators who just lost to unranked Arkansas. So Kentucky, Florida, Tennessee -- take your pick. None of them looks capable of beating Alabama in the SEC title game.
