Brandon Johns. Johns was one of Ram's top players this past season averaging 111.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 0.7 assists per game while Jackson had a smaller role, averaging 5.2 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 1.7 assists a game.”

It will be interesting to see who performs better over the long-term between Rhoades and Shrewsbery. It is also interesting that Rhoades and Franklin have commonality in terms of being PA natives and playing at small schools. I hope Rhoades keeps the momentum going. It was nice to get into bball again! I almost forgot how much I enjoy the college game.

I don’t follow college basketball but it seems like a good hire. As for “splash” I can’t name a single coach of any Final four team.
Looks like he made the NCAA tournament three times. When did psu last make it prior to this season?
also had 2 nba draft picks in the last 2 years. think psu has had 2 in 30 yrs
3 of the 5 years he was there. Penn State got in 3 times this century. Plus he isnt in a conference where 8-10 teams get in every year, Looks to be a good hire. Now he needs to get players in.

I don't have a dog in this fight (not really a fight) but this seems like a really solid hire by PSU. Time will tell but Rhoades looked to be about the best option out there
CBS Jon Rothstein is reporting that Rhoades has accepted the offer from Penn State.
Reportedly set to make $3.5 mill per year.

Give us the list of splash hires who would want the job. This is not Duke or Kentucky.
it's tempting to want that. but the reality is that we aren't getting any coach who already has a P5 hc job.
also this hire is pretty good. don't understand where it's a problem on paper

What’s funny is I wanted us to grab an assistant coach from Rowan for a while, but it was Giannini.
Happy for Joe and Erin that they get to head back to State College. State College High School also gets a nice replacement for Shrewsberry.

VCU did have some players that weren't afraid to shoot it from 4-8 feet beyond the 3 pt line........
It’s also not really a city, either. More people may live in my neighborhood that that city.
That coal region has become so depopulated it really boggles the mind. I wonder why we as a country do not take our immigrants and refuges to areas like Schuylkill county to try to repopulate the area. Some of those towns up there will become ghost towns. Heck, why not take the Ukrainians into places like that.
