Looks like a smallmouth (or bronzeback as they call them locally). Probably the most common game-fish on the lake. Wonder if it was caught off Erie.

I guess it was caught in Ohio so it will be a new state record. That is a Smallmouth bass but it has an unusually large head. Most heavy smallies look like the head doesn't match the body, but this one does.
