Prime Time

Nice game. Fun to watch. Typical fanboy over reaction to one damn game.
There's no overreaction. They're probably going to win 4-6 games this year. Which proves his approach is right. Next week Rhule vs. Prime will clearly show us. The goal isn't to win in 5 years. It's to win immediately.

And, there's no "fanning" going on. People just dislike Prime for who he is and don't like his approach so they wrongly said it couldn't work. Already worked better than some expected by winning 1 game.

I agree. The announcers went way overboard at the end. TCU is not the team from last year. It was a fun game to watch but every TCU fan right now is talking about the missed FG and 2 interceptions at the end zone that left 17 points on the board.

Next week is Nebraska at Colorado. Nebraska better improve a lot because they looked bad against Minny the other day.

Lots of lots of people (including many here) were dead wrong about his approach. It works.
In fairness it was the first game for both teams. Is Colorado that good? Does TCU have a hangover from last year? Was Colorado hyped and prepared for one game? I’ve seen plenty of times where a team wins game 1 and people are anointing them only to find out their opponent was a mess.

I am absolutely interested in this team and can’t wait to watch them next week against Nebraska.

Just gonna reserve judgement. I was all in on the Mel Tucker train after their first season 😂

Lol I mean true regarding Tucker but Michigan State had good runs recently before he arrived. Colorado was the worst team in the country last year and they, if nothing else, have an offense.

I think they roll over Nebraska next week. Nebraska QB Sims better not even think about throwing to Travis Hunters side of the field. Sims had
3 INTs vs Minnesota. If he challenges Hunter it could get real ugly.

Going back to last season, TCU is 1-3 in their last four games.

TCU is one of the top 3 teams on CU’s schedule. I would take the over on 6 wins if you can get it.

TCU was too worried about the clock because they didn't believe they could stop Colorado. They went into safe mode way too soon.
Yeah I was listening to the TCU feed while driving to the beach and their announcers said they shouldn’t score too quickly because they didn’t want Colorado to have much time left. Looked at my wife and said call me old school but when you are losing you need to score. Congrats to Prime. Unlike some of the posters on here I was a fan when he played. Greatest cover corner in NFL history. People criticized him for his alleged lack of zeal tackling but when I saw him he didn’t miss many tackles because he made sure he got a hold of the guy until help arrived. Not a bad idea when you are the last line of defense. One of the funniest things I ever heard was another in the endless rants by Bednarick about how Sanders was afraid to tackle. I forget who the host was but after he was done, he said by the way Chuck what was your lifetime batting average in Major League Baseball.

I found myself watching more of that game than I thought I would...and also found myself rooting against Colorado. Love Boulder. Have a PSU roomate who lives in Longmont. Credit to Prime for winning Game 1. Wouldn't be very interested in going to see a game out there right now. Yeah- they will be much improved and fun to watch- and people are paying attention to them- which was the whole point right?

Will be pulling for Huskers next week-and whomever is not named OSU or Michigan vs. The Buffs in the weeks to come. That is part of what makes sports great. Truth be told I rooted against his JSU team too.

I'm interested to see how Hunter holds up over the season playing both ways, especially if he continues to see that many snaps each game. Undeniably talented but staying healthy playing that much is a big task.

I'm interested to see what coach Obviously has to say when Prime is the first AA coach to win the title.

Colorado attracts huge betting interest, dramatic Heisman odds movement

Only a select handful of games last season generated as much betting interest as Colorado's upset of TCU on Saturday, and money was still showing up on the Buffaloes at sportsbooks Sunday.

Colorado opened the Deion Sanders era with a 45-42 victory over TCU as 21-point underdogs. Sanders became the first non-interim coach to win his FBS debut as a 20-plus-point underdog since the 1978 FBS/FCS split, according to ESPN Stats & Information research.....

Don't think he can continue to play that many snaps. His body will wear down making him more susceptible to injury.
