Football Penn State WR coach Taylor Stubblefield no longer with the program...

Want to add a bit here. Heard this move was coming shortly before the Stubbs twitter post.

What I’ve heard was that this was a CJF decision and that they intend to go big game hunting with the next hire.

Have also heard that Pat Kraft was able to fundraise some extra $$$ for assistants, which is part of Seider getting his added title and part of why this move happened.

Lets not forget, this guy wore a U Miami belt when recruiting Parker Washington FOR penn state. Not sure our WR room really improved under his stewardship and he seems to wear out his welcome evidenced by the many places he has coached. Also was unable to win on a transfer WR so far.

Chris Beaty’s team lost last night, coincidence?

Unless Staley gets fired (which may well happen), Beatty is safe.

Chris Beatty enters his second season with the Chargers as wide receivers coach in 2022. In his first year with the Bolts, Beatty's group featured a pair of 1,000-yard receivers — Keenan Allen and Mike Williams.

I mean--that's not exactly impressive--any WR coach would have accomplished that with those 2

It will be interesting but why are any recruiting misses a particular coaches fault? The entire staff recruits. If that’s the case Scott should be gone. Got to be some other stuff going on. Receivers were producing as well. It will be interesting to see who replaces him because the PSU receivers coaches haven’t necessarily been top shelf hires. Gattis, Corley, Parker, Stubblefield. Whoever it is better be a big time recruiter. Not sure Engram is. Get an SEC guy…

Scott has a much better track record than Stubbs. But a position coach is always responsible for recruiting their position.

Gattis did a wonderful job. Corley was a disaster hire that was brought in to coach RBs and then they had to do something when Seider suddenly became available.

Parker did a decent job and then took a promotion and Stubbs was solid. But yes, you’d like a home run with the next hire.

Gattis was lusted after for years here....where have you been? Also, he is extremely popular with the the mothers of recruits......

You see how mobile everybody is from players to coaches to even Kevin Warren. In this new world, we have to continue processing under-performers on scholarship, and under-performers in the coaching staff.

Receivers were producing as well.

Which ones? General concensus was that we couldn't land any stud WRs and that they underperformed all year. Just curious. You seem to have a different POV that I'm interested in.

Strange that Cephas verbals and Stubbs is let go the same day.

We could start right here

Wish him well but it's the weakest unit on the team and the recruiting has been disappointing and not improving. As much as you don't want to have ANOTHER new wideout coach, it's probably time.
