Basketball Penn State suffers close overtime loss to LSU in Emerald Coast Classic

Penn State just missed on upsetting a strong LSU team Friday night in Florida. Turnovers were still high, but Penn State moved the ball more efficiently on offense for most of the night. The Nittany Lions had by far their best defensive performance yet. Jalen Pickett had a nice night offensively, but Seth Lundy and Sam Sessoms struggled for much of the night.

Still, lots of positives to takeaway against the Tigers, who came in at No. 20 on KenPom. Full recap here:

Missed dunk really hurt...one point game with umder a minute if it goes...we still find ways to compete...still have maddening long scoring droughts...and often find new ways to lose. Great effort. Familiar result.

Actually I'm quite surprised that this coach is putting a competitive team on the floor after damn near every player on his roster transferred. Impressive.
