Remarkable number of good high school wrestlers in PA -- the pipeline never seems to end.

It's a shame there are not more college programs and scholarships available for these young athletes.

I think what may be worse is that a lot of talented wrestlers don't seem to make wrestling in college a priority in their college choice. There may not be athletic scholarships, but D3 programs could use more wrestlers. Even above average high school guys could participate at the D3 level. You don't have to be a superstar to wrestle in college and have fun doing it.

Agreed, but like Cael says you can't be good at the wrestling, the academic thing, and the social thing. Most kids don't wanna pass on the social thing and also many of the D3 programs might not provide what a kid needs academically. It's a huge sacrifice to make

Shhh...we just started following this wrestling thing in PA, it's pretty cool.
