OT: Tiger, Phil set for Thanksgiving weekend in Vegas...

I believe Thanksgiving weekend is gonna be November 24 and 25. Hopefully, they do not schedule this match so as to conflict with the PSU-Maryland game.

They should put a boxing ring by the 18th hole and they fight at the end. I'd pay for that.

If this is really going to be on PPV instead of regular TV I predict that fewer people will pay for it than they expect. Ten years ago this would have been big but now it smacks of desperation on the part of these two guys to keep their pictures in the news.

No interest really. The only thing that matters in my book are these two helping the US win the Ryder Cup on foreign soil for the first time in 25 years.

I saw a series of completely asinine posts in this thread. Saw they were all by the same person and then thought, “hey, I thought that was the only guy I ever put in ignore. Why am I seeing his garbage?” Finally realized I hadn’t signed in. Now I have, and like magic, he is gone!

I might— might — have a little bit of interest if the loser had to write the check to the winner out of his personal account.

The only thing good about this is being able to see Shadow Creek again. Outstanding course.

If they actually played w/ their own money (either for keeps or charity) say $1M Nassau w/ a limit on presses, they would make it so interesting that the PPV numbers would dwarf what they're going to get doing it this way.

The only smart thing about this is that they're doing it on Friday and not Saturday. So they won't be up against too much college football on that Friday night. Apparently, there's going to be in-game betting available thru the casinos on closest to the pin, hole score, etc. Thankfully, this will occur during week 1 of my 6 weeks off to end the year so I won't have to pay an ounce of attention to it. And since it's PPV, the choice is made for me.

No one is going to give a crap about this. It’s 15 years too late and ffs it’s GOLF. Good for them, I guess, for doing this, but it’s hardly needle moving.

Two mega-rich guys playing for $9MM in a golf tournament, where the $9MM is partially going to be coming from PPV fees? A match where neither of the guys will have ANY skin in the game?

No thanks.

What do you do that you get 6 weeks off at the end of the year? Sign me up!
