I agree. Led Zeppelin wins, for nothing more than Jimmy Page's FU to the person who didn't like The New Yardbirds.
Now, I shall attempt to badly date myself:
Toad the Wet Sprocket - for Python fans only of course.
The Sex Pistols.
Pearl Jam - if the backstory is true.
The The. No, on second thought, this always annoyed the F out of me.
X, Bikini Kill, L7 - prrfct for punk and riot grrls.
10,000 Maniacs - who sound nothing like you'd expect based on that name.
They Might be Giants - sticking in the we're ripping off bad 50's monster movies genre.
