This ref has made one egregious non-call and a couple other questionable calls, but he's been pretty good with the stall calls IMO.

I think Davis, Nagao and Truax know what they need to do differently. Carter surprised me, but it could be a combo of sickness and Welsh being very good.

Looked a lot like his Brands match except he got the riding point rather than the takedown in that one.
Kasak gets the Ridge Riley, which is well-deserved. If anything, maybe Kerk should have been considered as well. Solid performance overall, but a few things for our guys to think about and to work on. Win-win.....
Truax got caught with the same move Bryce Andonian hit Levi Haines with at NCAAs last year.
Any worries about Beau should be gone now. Mendez is really, really good. 18-1 coming in, 16 wins by bonus. Had his only loss won. Beau stayed center mat with him, was never in trouble and got his typical SV TD.

What glitters isn't always gold. The transfers look like they might need a full year of Cael's zen to get it fully. I am not to concerned but aside from Mitch there is still work to do before March.
IMO Davis got a gift, but he may be better off with a loss or two before bigs. The kid is a fighter.

Beau - an SV nail biter as expected, could have gone either way
Kasak - the talent is something to appreciate, and he is getting better every match. An AA is certainly in the conversation as well as a potential challenge for 141 next year if you don't want to shirt (Beau has one as well).

I am at my son’s league Tournament “watching” this match on X and this forum. Seems like OSU wrestled hard if not great. Our kids got the job done nicely. Our losses will hopefully make us better. Standout performance by:
