Round 1 - Conference Championship Games - 10 Teams
The Next Two Highest Ranked Teams - 2 Teams

Round 2 - The following week, the committee seeds the 6 winners.
#1 and #2 get a bye
#3 Plays #6 and #4 Plays #5

Round 3 The committee then seeds the 4 winners like they currently do.
#1 plays #4
#2 Plays #3

Round 4 Winners play for the National Championship

All teams eliminated prior to Round 3 are still bowl eligible.
We've added one game in Round 1 and 2 Games in the new Round 2.
The sites for those games could easily be predetermined or played at the higher seed.

This year it would look like this:

Round 1 Clemson vs Miami
Auburn vs Georgia
Oklahoma vs TCU
Wisconsin vs Ohio State
USC vs Washington
Alabama vs Penn State

Round 2 Clemson - Bye
Oklahoma - Bye
Georgia vs Penn State
Ohio State vs USC

Round 3 Clemson vs Penn State
Oklahoma vs Ohio State

Round 4 Oklahoma vs Penn State

Penn State - National Champions!!!! All the way from a #9 Ranking!!!

I mean, there's worse ideas but I don't understand the logic of leaving out the G5 completely or how it's fair that two teams that didn't win their division automatically advance. I guess the reality is nothing really works
