More espn twitter personalities lashing out (this time it's Herbie)

So if Iowa had beaten Penn State, would Herbie put them in his top 4 or 5? He went on about the TCU defense but ignores that they gave up 36 to SMU. TCU didn't even finish in the top 25 last year. They finished 6-7. Now after upsetting a conference rival they are the 4th best team in the country? Penn State goes 11-3 brings back most of that team and wins a tough road game against an undefeated Iowa and he drops us? Yeah, F'em.
It’s week four... holy shit. This stuff will all work itself out. If we beat everyone we are in.

Right. The issue isn’t if we’re undefeated - it’s when or if we have a loss and so do several other teams. We should have been in last year but settling for ‘things working itself out’ is something this fan base is sadly growing accustomed to.

But we have no idea who that loss is to or who the losses to the other 1 loss teams are. There is zero point in crying about Herbie’s top 4 after just 1/3 of the season.

If we don’t fight for us who will? It’s not that big a deal, but this is where the eye test narrative begins. People who are willing to settle for less often do. If you’re fine with the perception that a) Penn State isn’t that good and/or b) Iowa isn’t that good (which helps the ‘B1G is not a strong conference narrative’) then good for you.

Why do companies spend millions on advertising? Why does every government spend millions on propaganda? Do these people think that the College Football Playoff committee isn't going to be influenced by "respected" voices like Herbsteit, Fowler, etc.? RIGHT BEFORE the CFP committee met to decide who would get in to the playoffs, ESPN had a special where Desmond Howard, Kirk Herbstreit, and then the Big Ten commissioner himself were all saying that Ohio State deserved to get in over Penn State. And people think that kind of thing doesn't matter.

Believe what you want, but you aren't going to shut up those of us who want to fight back against that kind of horseshit.

Yup. You would think Penn State fans would know better than to put their fate in the hands of others. Worked out for us.....what year was that?

We beat one team with a pulse. Let’s beat a top 25 team or two before we get upset at people questioning how good we are. If we take care of business we will be in.

Any of those years we would have been in the playoff. Last year we had two losses... hard to complain about not being a top four team with two losses. (Even though I thought we were a top four team). It is now set up where we control our own fate. Win and we are in. Don’t and you can start worrying about making a case for inclusion.
