Does the $363 million dollar median include "soft costs"(Equipment, furnishings, etc.)? I would believe the budget would include allowance for such costs in addition to the actual construction costs. I'm not saying that there is that much in soft costs, I'm just trying to understand the thought process.
Yep. Those figures are "all in" COMPLETED costs of actual completed constructions nationwide.
So they (the figures that result in the $363 per sq. foot figures) also include any cost overruns, add-ons etc.....which, of course the PSU Fenske project does NOT even have added in.
What are the chances that the Fenske projects COMPLETED costs will actually be higher than the budget? IDK But it wouldn't be shocking if the "all in" COMPLETED costs of Fenske would actually end up even worse.
Had to read it and Ida Tarbell's History of the Standard Oil Company in 11th grade. We had a long unit on the Sherman Anti-Trust Act too. It was a good class.
