Any program would be lucky to have David Evans. He is solid and can get even better. That weight class is in great shape.

Not quite fair. He beat #6 and lost to #12. That’s probably his range, somewhere from 5 to 15, which is nothing to sneeze at.
Yeah - I just looked it up and Hines is a 3x NQ and was R12 last year. And that was a very close match.
Remember David took Beau to SV last year too.

Dang I wonder who’s idea it was to put all of our top wrestlers in the pools without the other top wrestlers. I get it’s the first event of the season and all but give the fans what they want and let the kids compete.

Dylan Rider is a journeyman veteran, but no way to sugar coat that loss. That's a bridge too far to expect improvement to an impact point. Maybe he could beat him in a future match, but hoping to beat a max one NCAA win type guy is not what you're looking for.
He didn't look good in the first match either, despite the win. Way too hard work against a mediocre kid. Thank God he wasn't in the A pool.

I'm willing to give Howard the benefit of the doubt--he's hardly been able to even wrestle in practice for 2 years. He and Davis were close in wrestleoffs, according to JB. Let's keep him healthy and see if he can start to put things together.
