The Lions need to go to the ACC, where we would win it at least 6 times in a decade. Bring in ND as well, or WVU. Money in the Big 10 does not bring happiness when you cannot get past OSU and Michigan.

Actually agree. Penn State has been a mid-tier team in the B1G and with 9 years left on the amateur contract, that will not be changing soon.

Really? And when the ACC falls apart, what then? Try to rejoin the B1G? Have you noticed how everyone is trying to get into the B1G or SEC?

The Grant of Rights is 150 million to leave. Only hope to leave the ACC is if 8 of 14 teams vote to dissolve the league. That amount of votes is not there. ESPN owns the tv rights of both the ACC and the SEC 100 percent. ESPN does not want the ACC to fall apart. I can see a merger of the SEC and the ACC

Yes, let's avoid playing good teams so we can we're better.
No sane individual would leave the Big Ten or SEC. If you want to go to the SEC and lose more that's fine but saying the ACC is and has always been pure stupidity.

that ship sailed a long time ago.

in the early 2000s we had plenty of reasons to do exactly that

now the B1G has expanded East, and the power conferences are consolidating into mega-conferences of which the B1G will be one. So sit tight. Until it falls apart, that is.
Yep…too late now! Missed our chance.

Yes. Penn State should join a conference where they would receive hundreds of millions of dollars less than what the Big Ten earns them. That way PSU can drop a few non-revenue sports in addition to having less $$$ for football coaching salaries, facilities, etc.

The problem with the ACC's Grant of Rights agreement is that it is almost certainly going to be found non-binding for at least some schools when challenged. It hasn't been challenged yet but with the money being thrown at the Big Ten and the SEC, it will. There are some politicians in Virginia asking questions. The question is not going to be whether the agreement will hold, but the scale of the collapse. The Virginia legislature did not approve the agreement. With the Commonwealth's governance structure, only the State's legislature could sign such a deal. The same is likely true in North Carolina. Pitt probably has a good case as well. When the agreement is challenged and when it does fail, the question will be does the entire house of cards fall.

No, no, N O, dammit! Make the necessary changes and improvements to WIN more in the Big Ten! No one wants the wrestling team to move to the ACC. Why is that? Because the wrestling program does what it takes from an overall operations, management, and coaching perspective to consistently kick the crap out of the Big Ten. That is what is required - find out what it will take to win more, to actually contend for conference championships and DO IT! Don’t run from the Big Ten, face reality that our football program is sub-optimal, improve it, and win more in the Big Ten.

our football program is not winning or contending because, as currently operated, financed, managed, and coached, it is not good enough to win more and contend in the Big Ten. Face it, analyze it, make improvements to it, and win more.

You have made good points. The ship has sailed back in the early 2000's. If we had gone THEN, we would win the league often
