"But I also think it's important to acknowledge when we have lost. And we
have lost. It is over. There will not be a happy ending ... in any way, shape or form."
Claims that "Jerry Sandusky is being tortured in prison."
Next man up. No quitters allowed. Joe wouldn't want it that way. He taught us to keep fighting even when the team was down by 40
Lubert is running unopposed for chair. So he is the next chair by default.if Ira becomes chair of the BoT next week, I'd have to agree with Ziegler
That information was not entirely accurate......not even close to it, actually.Lubert is running unopposed for chair. So he is the next chair by default.

lolBefore he quits, I hope he turns over all of the bombshells he's holding close to the vest. If even one of them is true, he'd make the crack we need to open the case.
Those "pessimistic" Greeks.Let me add to your somber mood. Sophocles also said, "Man's worst fate was to have been born."
Haha. I deleted my post that you quoted. Then you doubled down. The Greeks were no dummies. Those "pessimistic" Greeks.
“You, most blessed and happiest among humans, may well consider those blessed and happiest who have departed this life before you, and thus you may consider it unlawful, indeed blasphemous, to speak anything ill or false of them, since they now have been transformed into a better and more refined nature. This thought is indeed so old that the one who first uttered it is no longer known; it has been passed down to us from eternity, and hence doubtless it is true. Moreover, you know what is so often said and passes for a trite expression. What is that, he asked? He answered: It is best not to be born at all; and next to that, it is better to die than to live; and this is confirmed even by divine testimony. Pertinently to this they say that Midas, after hunting, asked his captive Silenus somewhat urgently, what was the most desirable thing among humankind. At first he could offer no response, and was obstinately silent. At length, when Midas would not stop plaguing him, he erupted with these words, though very unwillingly: ‘you, seed of an evil genius and precarious offspring of hard fortune, whose life is but for a day, why do you compel me to tell you those things of which it is better you should remain ignorant? For he lives with the least worry who knows not his misfortune; but for humans, the best for them is not to be born at all, not to partake of nature’s excellence; not to be is best, for both sexes. This should our choice, if choice we have; and the next to this is, when we are born, to die as soon as we can.’ It is plain therefore, that he declared the condition of the dead to be better than that of the living.”
–Aristotle, Eudemus (354 BCE), surviving fragment quoted in Plutarch, Moralia, Consolatio ad Apollonium, sec. xxvii (1st cen. CE)(S.H. transl.)
That isn't fair.Haha. I deleted my post that you quoted. Then you doubled down. The Greeks were no dummies.
How many other boards are quoting Sophocles and Aristotle today? Those "pessimistic" Greeks.

Seriously, you two guys are killing me. Gambit is ready to settle out of court and Art is bringing the pure pointlessness of life into the equation????Let me add to your somber mood. Sophocles also said, "Man's worst fate was to have been born."
Keep them coming fairgambit. The timing of your "but for Wales" quote was an all-time keeper. How many other boards are quoting Sophocles and Aristotle today?
Thanks for that.Keep them coming fairgambit. The timing of your "but for Wales" quote was an all-time keeper.
'Inside of every cynic is a disappointed optimist.' G. CarlinSeriously, you two guys are killing me. Gambit is ready to settle out of court and Art is bringing the pure pointlessness of life into the equation????
I know Gambit is a lawyer but unless you're a philosopher Art, please just don't. You both need to channel your inner entrepreneur and look past the obvious limitations and find the glass half full arguments. I suggest you try real hard.
This not over until we say it is over. Take it to your grave I don't care. But it is not lost until we lose it.
This makes what - his fourth or fifth time "giving up"?
I'll believe it when I see it - as much as I hope he's serious this time.
Good summary.the highlights of the interview:
1) no accuser under the age of 30 has implicated Penn State employees because they are outside the SOL
2) how did this massive 40 yr cover up get SMALLER as it got older?
3) why would Joe Paterno break up the cover up by reporting/testifying if he was guilty?
4) John Doe A changed date of abuse so PSU would be forced to pay settlement
5) NOT ONE COACH accused of being involved with conspiracy tried to leverage their knowledge for personal gain
6) Scott Paterno controlled the PR of the Paterno family, should have been Jay
7) Bruce Heim was willing to believe Jerry was innocent, but decided JS was guilty because a BoT member (possibly Silvis) communicated from Lubert that there was a tape of JS abusing a boy
8) this was because Ira was getting heat that they settlements were being decided too quickly without vetting
9) exposing Matt Sandusky as a liar was the last chance to turn around the narrative *(hence Ziegler's comment that it was "over" to turn around the narrative)
10) "we have lost, it is over" . . . too much time to combat the narrative after this week
11) once Sandusky dies in prison, this story is over for good, and JS is being "tortured" in prison
12) Ziegler claims he has 12 family members of AF who think he is lying
13) Current media release has crushed opportunities to present the story on Podcast One and Netflix
14) media will ignore fake accusers, number of people invested in false narrative is too great
When does the plant come forward?
That is the 1st time I laughed today.
Good summary.
It ain't over until the fat lady sings.............and she is unavailable at this time. For the reconciliation of JVP's reputation, we will continue the fight until the truth is known. Fight on State..........we RRRRRRRRR PENN STATE!Next man up. No quitters allowed. Joe wouldn't want it that way. He taught us to keep fighting even when the team was down by 40
OK so we're polar opposites. We should hang out.'Inside of every cynic is a disappointed optimist.' G. Carlin
Me in a nutshell.

When does the plant come forward?
Whether one likes his methods, personality, or priorities......or even agrees with some of his conclusions:If he means that he's going to quit telling people that Jerry Sandusky is innocent, then I'm all for it. I don't think he's a positive contributor to the fight for Penn State's reputation and Joe's legacy. Good riddance...
Any mention of the phony claimant he inferred he knew of?the highlights of the interview:

You can find me on craigslist under the heading:OK so we're polar opposites. We should hang out.
Blanket criticisms of JZ by some here are no different than blanket accusations and assumptions about JVP or PSU by the media. No different really.Whether one likes his methods, personality, or priorities......or even agrees with some of his conclusions:
He has invested 1,000,000X more time, money and energy into the effort than just about anyone else. We have SO MANY folks willing to get off their fat asses and actually exert a couple calories in the fight, we have more than we need
So, yeah, bystanders and peanut-gallery denizens should be all critical. LOL
