Pitt lost out on Wade. Franklin out worked Narduzzi and the appeal of playing in front of your atmosphere on a top 10 team beats the hell out of playing in front of 20K in a stadium that's supply far outweighs its demand. Wade is a stud and will probably end up being a first round pick. For Lamont's sake, I wish him all the best.

Unless you know the Ford family personally, calling Paris dumb as a box of rocks is really poor of you. Originally, it was thought to be impossible because I believe he had to take three classes this summer. So, it's not like he was a few credits short he was quite a few credits short.

Come on MM42, there is no need for that. He is a kid who is trying to get into school. Whatever his reasons might be, lets just wish him well and hope he gets in on time. Like everyone else here, and I'm sure you as well, education is paramount. Lets hope he gets that!

Officially you're only allowed to make up one class, as I recall. So something here does not add up. I don't think you are "in the know", so to speak.

Ford may not be dumb as a box of rocks, but the way he was handled was ultra-stupid. Allowing him to go to Central Catholic was a dumb idea, because that school can be an academic meat-grinder, and it's likely that it was known that he was a less than stellar student by 9th grade. Then, having him downgrade just a little bit for Seton LaSalle was only slightly dumber. Clearly, these were football decisions, not academic ones. Finally, having him wind up at Steel Valley a hundred classes behind, but still remain eligible until after they won the state championship, smacks of more favoritism.

This kid just didn't get the proper guidance. He may not be to blame, but someone is.

At this point we should accept that there are crazies and delusional morons in every fanbase. Some fan bases have more of those morons than others, specifically in the SEC.

With just 2 weeks until the season opening game, Ford will need to move at light speed to get acclimated to any division one defensive scheme. Knowing what is going on, is the most important factor with any defense, in order to be successful. It's going to be extremely difficult for any coaching staff to bring a player up to speed in just 2 weeks. By way of comparison, imagine if Penn State came out against Akron, and started Damion Barber? Exact same thing.

If they'd put an ounce of thought into that cartoon... so the all powerful and all knowing god let Joe into heaven and had to later kick him out because he must have read the highly flawed Freeh report? Why would an all knowing god have let him in to heaven in the first place?

Whew. I was really worried that he'd be active for the game and, after only one week of practice, single handedly cover all three WRs and our TE so well that every play he'd also be in the backfield to sack McSorley or take down Barkley for a 5 yard loss. He would have the first freshman DB to win the Heisman.

In all seriousness I hope he works out ho academics and goes on to have a nice life, but even if he was in camp from the start he would not be the difference between a win and a loss this year or the next two. Just too much of a talent differential in the teams in both players and coaching staffs.
