FSU permitted to leave ACC

The die is cast. Florida State, Clemson, Miami, maybe North Carolina and Stanford will flee the ACC. The remaining gaggle of bottom feeders will form a new division of the MAC. That is where this is headed.
Where's Stanford going?

Bold prediction: Miami gets left out of both and joins the Big 12. The SEC won’t take them because they already have the state of Florida covered. The only schools I think they’d take to prevent the Big Ten from expanding south are FSU and *maybe* Clemson.

Meanwhile, I don’t think the Big Ten sees them as an academic fit (small enrollment, private university) despite being AAU affiliated. I think the only two guarantees here are Florida State and North Carolina.
