http://www.pacourtwatch.com/2017/06/26/money-laundering-behind-judicial-corruption/This is especially true when you understand that PSU's General Counsel at the time, Wendell Courtney - who says he was told about the 2001 incident, also did pro-bono work for The Second Mile where his wife, Linette Courtney, was a Board Member in 2001 (and throughout the early-to-mid 2000s)....and the Courtney's are good friends with the CEO & his wife, the President of TSM! After doing pro-bono work for TSM for years, Wendell Courtney becomes the full-time General Counsel of TSM in 2007! So this bull$hit that Courtney was running around telling everybody that Sandusky should be reported to DPW, which TSM had an absolute LEGAL OBLIGATION to do under MULTIPLE SECTIONS OF PA CPSL (you know the organization where his wife is on The TSM Board of Directors), but for some reason TSM didn't report Sandusky regarding 2001 -- gee, I guess Wendell Courtney wasn't running around telling everyone, including his wife, that Sandusky needed to be reported to DPW regarding the 2001 incident.
I never said that Paterno should be charged with a crime. He just was part of the failure.
You are so off on this but it's not even worth explaining why. You will just ignore it and continue down your path of delusion. There was no failure. The minute Curley told JR what he knew, and that Jerry's guest privileges were rescinded, Penn State's role in this was over. It then became a TSM issue.
Joe was targeted to take the fall to focus the media attention on PSU rather than TSM. C/S were collateral damage. Spanier was the victim of a political vendetta.

agree. Telling TSM was a courtesy call, nothing more. You are so off on this but it's not even worth explaining why. You will just ignore it and continue down your path of delusion.

“Had I ever been asked, my response would have been, ‘Absolutely and immediately,’ ” Courtney said. “Had I ever had any inkling that Sandusky was engaging in behavior with children that was even remotely improper, nothing on God’s green earth would have kept me from making certain that the allegations were reported to the police authorities and thoroughly investigated.”
“He wasn’t official counsel. He was just advising periodically, some pro bono, some paid later,” Woodle said. He could not give specific details about what kind of work Courtney performed for the charity.
Wendell Courtney is a LIAR and this direct quote attributable to him on the 2001 subject PROVES IT! A statement made within days of the public release of the Presentment on 11/5/2011 (excerpted from THIS ARTICLE):
This quote is especially revealing as to Courtney's LIES at the prodding of the corrupt OAG (ditto scumbag Raykovitz) at Spanier's 2017 Trial when you understand THE FACT that Courtney's wife, Linette, was a Second Mile Board Member in 2001 and Courtney himself did "pro bono" volunteer work for TSM at the time (and he & his wife were fast friends with the CEO of TSM & his wife, who was the President of TSM. The Courtney's were also fast-friends with the most influential local TSM Board Members such as the Chairman of the TSM Board, Bob Poole!).
Here was what the CEO of TSM at the time of this article in Nov 2011, just days after the Presentment, had to say in admitting, and characterizing, the work that Courtney did for TSM at the time of the 2001 Incident (again, Courtney's wife was a Board Member of TSM in 2001 at the time of this work):
Again, the Statements Courtney made in 2017 regarding this emphatic advice he gave to report Sandusky to DPW directly conflicts with his statement only days after the release of the Presentment and clearly identifies Courtney as the LYING, SCUMBAG, HYPOCRITE LAWYER remarkably similar in ethics and morality to the LYING, HYPOCRITE, SCUMBAG LAWYER propagators of this entire FALSE NARRATIVE at Corrupt Corbutt's OAG!!!
If you say so. Smh. Give me a break. That's quite the courtesy call.agree. Telling TSM was a courtesy call, nothing more.
Everybody but Joe tried to cover their ar$e in this case.
Nobody wanted to be connected with JS after the crap hit the fan. Does anybody really think that MM thought it was acceptable to simply slam the door and leave if a child was being raped? Does anybody really believe that he went to his dad & Dranov and mentioned sounds ut nothing that necessitated a call to police? Does anybody really believe that TC knew abut sexual assaultried to keep things hush by going to Raykovitz, but then played it down and walked away with his tail between his legs?
- Courtney
- The entire BOT
- C/S/S
- Corbett
- DPW / CPS
- Harmon
- Raykovitz
- Mike McQueary
- John McQueary
- Dranov
- Maybe even coaches and players
Here's what's much more likely. MM was disturbed but unsure about what he experienced so he was careful with what he told dad, Dranov, Joe, Curley, and Shultz. Those people were cautious about what they told others (Courtney, Raykovitz). Then under pressure MM started to claim that he said more. At that point everybody started covering their rear ends. It's human nature. Even the assistant coaches didn't say a whole lot to defend Joe. They were more concerned about keeping their heads low.
