• Ask the conference front office and they'd tap dance around it without ever saying the words "Penn State" just like Delany in Indianapolis.

Why is 1992 the point of measure

we (PSU) were admitted in 1990 but did not participate until 1991... not sure WHEN in 1991 we began to compete but at that point our athletes were eligible for consideration.

Lotsa gray in there, though. are we just talking just football players? if yes, are they saying even though we played as an independent that as part of psu even football players were eligible... or did we lose 2 years in the mix?

i'm presuming we're talking all atheltics and they commended fall of 1991.. making our first eligibility 1992.
