I will partake of both vodka and beer most likely. I hate to discriminate. My beer will either be Belgian or an imperial stout. Both about 11%. Game time decision based on mood. Everything in moderation though. Haven't been drunk since 1985.
IMO, there is nothing like scotch.
But I love apple brandy mixed with ginger ale. If you haven’t tried that… you know not what you are missing. Everyone I’ve ever had try it has loved it.
Love me a good IPA.
But can drink miller lite too.
Red wine.
Whiskey and coke.
And Truly Pineapple. Especially with eggs Saturday morning during football season in lot 24.

I rarely have two of the same drink in a sitting, especially when I’m out. The helpful server/bartender that brings me a second of my first beer choice introduces one of my biggest internal conflicts: tell them, don’t drink it, or suck it up and force it down. At my age I successfully manage beer, wine, cocktails all in the same evening with no problem.
I'll give the apple brandy drink a spin. That sounds good.
For those interested, I guess Crown came out with a blackberry flavor. Probably good with ginger Ale or tonic water. Or straight.
The bartenders at my local hole are amazed that I mix different beers plus cocktails on top of them. A couple of them make fun of me if I order 2 of the same.
Famous Grouse. Damn good affordable blended scotch, IMO. I really enjoy it.
When I’m in the mood to splurge a little on a single malt, it’s Glenlivet.
Preputial early season then Nugget Nectar once they release it. both Troeg's ipa's
Relaxing with a modestly priced but tasty cab after spending 30 minutes in our tornado space on the north side of Chicago. Crazy day. High of 74; waking up to 25.

Been on a Yellowstone Toasted Bourbon kick lately but Basil Haden is my trusty go-to. On the rocks, no mixer.
If you ever find yourself in NWPA, I'll blow your taste buds out.
Not a scotch guy but a delivery driver brought me a sniffer of Glenfarcles 17 a couple weeks ago. I can still taste it, one of the best tasting whiskey I've ever had.
@hlstone we need to come up with a reason to roadtrip to NWPA!!!

Glenlivet is my preference. I have developed a taste for the single malts, but I will not refuse a blended if offered.
