His ceiling is so high. Still learning the position.

And BTW have you ever seen a defensive performance so ugly and effective at the same time?
3.1 yards per pass. 4.7 yards per rush.2 fumbles, a goalline interception.

PSU D was just playing out of their minds the last 3 quarters. The second half, they would have been causing trouble for Ohio State for a few minutes there. The rotations are getting experience for so many people.

Cam Brown is a junior who was a LB in high school. “He is still learning the position” is a scary proposition because if that’s the case we are in big trouble. This is not his first year starting. He is very experienced and is still lost out there.

He played a much better game last night than a week ago, though. However, your excuse for him is not one you should be using for a junior.

Yeah, he is a junior, but I wouldn't say he was "very experienced" coming into the season. How many starts did he have prior to this year? He's got some great physical tools with speed, quickness, and length, and he's added size and strength since his freshman year.

Can be a very good player IMO and a pro prospect.

agree - we cannot put him in the inexperienced players (FR and RS FR). he still does not look like a LB - for his height he should be at least 245 and operate a lot stronger. he did take on a block on his TFL play, but that is not his norm. he gets knocked off the LOS a lot. he did look better last night vs the App State game. hope he gets better.

Let’s not get carried away. Ohio State and many other teams will...... Pass the ball.

The D indeed played very well as the game progressed.

The stop on 4th and 2-3 was outstanding but let’s give Pitt some credit there for running a play from a tight formation = MUCH easier to defend.

And Pitt started 3 of 4 drives in the third quarter inside their 10 and the fourth drive at their 15. Their conservative play calling here certainly helped!

But agreed, not allowing ANY team to not even reach midfield in 30 minutes of football is almost unheard of these days. KUDOS to our D!

I believe he started games as a true freshman and also started games last year. He has been rotated in at LB since he got on campus in games. There really is no excuse for him being lost out there as a junior.

Jack H. noted on the radio Saturday night that C. Brown played a good game. He didn't say anything about Brown being lost against Pitt. So, if the 8-timer thinks he played pretty well.....

I think he played a far better game on Saturday, and I am not disagreeing with Ham that he was solid against Pitt, but that doesn't change the fact that he was walking around clueless and confused on the field at times against App State. That's really not debatable. I'd love for Cam to continue to improve and have a good season. We need him.

Cam should be a redshirt Soph. Our 2016 depleted roster caused him to miss out on a much needed redshirt.
