(again, filling in for fair while he's on vacation/working on his bucket list)

Our first greetings go out to one of the early stars of Hollywood. A young Mr. Gambit enjoyed reruns of her on the big-screen, including Alias Jimmy Valentine, The Thirteenth Chair, The Big House, Surrender, Island of Lost Souls, Red-Headed Woman, Part Time Wife, The Big Broadcast, Island of the Lost Souls, The Poor Rich, Affairs of a Gentleman, and Ruggles of Red Gap. Mr. Gambit was disappointed to learn that she has been the original choice to play Jane in Tarzan the Ape Man (the 1932 version), but she turned it down and it made a star out of Maureen O'Sullivan. After 10 years making films, she retired from acting at the age of 31. The lovely Leila Hyams.

Our next greetings go out to a lady whose voice and looks have always attracted Mr. Gambit. Her debut album was released in 1961. She's most famous for her recordings of "Both Sides, Now," (written by Joni Mitchell), "Chelsea Morning," "Someday Soon," "Turn! Turn! Turn!/To Everything There Is A Season," "Amazing Grace," and "Send in the Clowns." She was also the subject of a popular CSN hit "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes." She was born Judith Marjorie Collins. She's known to her fans as Judy Blue Eyes. I'm not sure what fair calls her, but she's known to most people as Judy Collins.
