Wanzek is tough, Cenzo escapes a couple throws, looked pretty good most of the match.

At the end of session 1, Ohio State leads 85.5 to 81.5 with 9 in the semis and PSU has 8

good start for both teams; they'll fight it out for the championship

And it appears we will also battle them for the national championship. Nolf's health going forward will be the difference.

Can anyone comment on where we are right now vs. expectations? Seems like the only guy for us not wrestling to seed was Kuhn winning a match (as the 14th seed). Was Nolf winning twice pretty much a lock even with the injury? And did we pick up pretty much what we'd expect with bonus points? Thanks.

pretty good overall IMO

just to nitpick:
Zain got a major decision when he normally gets a tech fall or fall
Cenzo Joseph was sloppy and got turned to his back, got a decision and no bonus
Shakur Rasheed won twice, but no bonus (looks like opponents are very wary of his cradle moves)

other
Nolf did very well; I don't know if the coaches will have him continue or hold him out
Mark Hall and Bo were dominant
Lee at 141 is doing well for his 1st go-around
PSU still has 5 national champs who will be in the Semis :)
