Beemer was chief of staff for Kelly, he along with Fina, Carlausso, McGitten, established the trumped-up and false charges to helped bring the three amigos to trial.

He tried to get Kane not to drop the case to prosecute Curly, Spanier & Shultz ..."it's a slam dunk according to Beemer." Kane gave him permission to bring the three to trial, where did that go? He was baiting Kane to prosecute.

Now that Beemer is the AG, will we finally see some justice for the three after 5 years awaiting trial? Beemer's got his marching orders...do not bring the three to trial. Subpoenas for the trial of the three have some big fish. Actually, I don't think Beemer can actually try the three if he is on the subpoenas list. Answered my own question.

Beemer who testified that he didn't sign a secrecy pledge and then was proven to have lied....or I mean misremember?

The Tom Wolf who was "supposed" to be on top of the situation wrt Dambly.....then gave him another $11,000,000 of our money

The Tom Wolf who had ONE proxy on the BOT (Hangar) who was willing to actually open his mouth and question WTF was going on......then decided that he should "move on".

The Tom Wolf who didn't have 30 seconds to comment on any of the GJ manipulations, GJ leaks, ex-parte issues, COIs on the Supreme Court, etc etc.....but couldn't wait for the word bubbles to dissipate before he cranked out statements imploring KK to resign "for the good of the Commonwealth"

THAT Tom Wolf?

LOL Might as well make it a clean sweep. :)

I would assume that Beemer would run for AG. Whether he proceeds against C/S&S would depend on which way he thinks he can get the most political traction. Guilt or innocence is not the issue. Re-election is. Its always been the case.

Now we know why former MontCo DA and GOP Hershey-MontCo Apparatichik member Bruce Castor delayed the Porngate Gansler Report.....then delayed his Second Mile Investigation (which will now never happen) until after the rigged kangaroo court decision was in on Kane.....the fix was in fro the get go. It is unreal how morally-corrupt and debased Pennsylvania Government is - what a frightening place to live and not what the Founding Fathers had in mind, diametric opposite in fact (the type of moral corruption and complete tyranny that the Founding Fathers fought against and abhored).

Wouldn't surprise me... He will think no one will remember and say Kane wanted to prosecute the case and he recommended dropping all the charges... He has an easy out to pin all of it on Kane

He isn't running for re-election. Shapiro is the Democratic candidate, and Rafferty is the Republican. Beemer will only be the AG until the new one is sworn in in January 2017.

How is re-election brought into this when he isn't even running for AG..........

FWIW - I also understand that Castor's name was nominated as well.

Not knowing how this all works - I just wonder how long it takes the Senate to get their act together, vote & make it official.

I would expect that Beemer is confirmed by 9/15. Likely sooner than that date, but I would be surprised if it was past that date.

Careful Biacto, your scatalogical references are becoming more and more frequent which may be a violation of your reinstatement conditions. You've been a good boy under your new moniker but we all know it's just a matter of time until you tell someone to "go pump a Fleet". Although they may be a deserving Pittiot, PNL Troll or general "POS", it could result in (another) suspension of privileges! Nobody wants to see you meet that fate (again)!

Jake controls the Senate vote.

Welcome, Mr Beemer.

Corman?

Vote?

ASAP

No doubt

If he is not currently fall-down drunk.....I'd bet that Corman has one of those woodies that lasts so long you are supposed to "call a doctor"

I know that, you know that, this board knows that, everybody knows that .............
the $64.00 question is......do our corrupt politicos in Harrisburg know that?

The establishment will welcome Rafferty. Kane's conviction and sentence is a shot over the ship’s bow in case Shapiro is elected.......
  • Don't f..k with The Second Mile (off limits),
  • Don't f..k with the PSU Old Guard Board of Trustees & ties to The Second Mile.
  • Don't f..k with distribution of 100 plus million dollars to un-vetted Sandusky accusers,
  • Don't f..k with Hershey Trust, and above all.....
  • Don't f..k with the political establishment in Harrisburg.
Rafferty is not a problem, he's already established himself in the old boys OAG and a seat in the public trough and will carry on where Corbett & Kelly left off.

Great. I'm sure we can expect the release of Gansler's report & launch of the Second Mile investigation any time now.

FWIW, Gansler AND Castor both had plenty of time to initiate (if not complete) their tasks.

They did nothing but piss on our legs the entire time.......those "investigations" were stillborn.

WRT the "2nd Mile" and the "E-Mail" investigations.....Wolf's coronation of Beemer was no more impactful than shooting road kill (where have I heard that phrase before? :) ).

At some point, when dealing with all of these Politicos/Lawyers, we have to start being able to realize:

How dare you sully the name of Capone by comparing him to the low life scum of the second rate commonwealth of pennsylvania. Al had style:).
Now that you mentioned style, you're right.
The people of Pennsylvania need a leader to open some skulls in Harrisburg with a baseball bat.

If my pop- in- law was still alive, I would ask him. He was very good at making a point and having adversaries see things his way.

He had a lot of friends in high places, come to think...in very low places also

FWIW - this is what I understand the scenario to now be.
1. Castor is now hamstrung on dropping the PSU 3 charges with this new maneuver. Imagine that!
2. Any credible investigation into Second Mile most likely will be dropped. Gee, I wonder why?
3. Gansler's report could be in the cross hairs as well, altho efforts are ongoing to get that info out into the public realm.
4. It's obvious "they" i.e. the Senator(s) don't want Castor continuing in office.
5. The Senate could get their act together and vote shortly after Labor Day.

So - it is suggested that those of you that are concerned with this new development - contact your Senator and vociferously register your complaint(s).

Here's a sample argument:

With news of this nomination, it is imperative to get Bruce Beemer on public record with regard to how he would handle an investigation of The Second Mile. Thus far, every Attorney General candidate running up to the primary made very strong statements favoring an investigation; and then the Solicitor General actually put the wheels in motion. With all of these legal minds in unanimous agreement that there is reason to take a closer look at Second Mile — for the first time in five years — it would be quite unsettling to consider a new interim Attorney General who believed, or acted, otherwise.

Not to mention, Bruce Beemer's position on the prosecution of the three PSU administrators seems to be in direct conflict with having an open mind about the obvious and undeniable role and responsibility of Sandusky’s charity.

It is imperative that Doug Gansler and Buckley Sandler issue their findings unimpeded, and as soon as possible. The public across the Commonwealth deserves a fair and complete record of all ex parte communications and possible collusion and unethical conduct of state officials, prosecutors, law enforcement and the judiciary in whom we have placed our complete trust.

Lastly, Bruce Beemer will be a lame duck in 10 weeks. Why the rush to place yet another face to the Attorney General when the citizens will vote on a new one in 2 months? Most likely it will be Montgomery County Commissioner Josh Shapiro, one who has worked cooperatively with Bruce Castor over the years and for whom Mr. Castor could very nicely tee up a smooth transition for Mr. Shapiro into the Office of Attorney General. The same could be said of Sen. Rafferty, should he win the November election.

Why the rush to nominate a lame duck?

The actions of Beemer - - - and Corman - - - and, now, Wolf - certainly make Castor look good by comparison.

I sure don't have a line into Castor - and I don't know what songs he may now be singing, but:

Castor has been in office for five months
Even Sandy Barbour doesn't spend that much time decorating an office

When was he planning to get around to that "pebble in his shoe"? November 7th, around 11pm?
What was hamstringing him for the last 5 months?

If Bruce actually has any useful information (of which I am skeptical) - and he righteously wants to do the right thing ( of which I am very skeptical) - it doesn't take a rocket scientist to find avenues to make that information available (and public)

Hell - he could have a "come one-come all" press conference tomorrow morning - - - and lay out everything he's discovered
Has anyone asked him why he's not doing that? If he is all distraught about being hamstrung moving forward?

Or is his bladder empty

And the Gansler Report - that report was due in May........then in June.......then in ?????
I've had enough piss on my leg from the Gansler/Castor dynamic duo that my socks have turned yellow.

Beemer may not be the perfect answer but only in bizarro world would people expect a convicted felon to be able to name their own replacement. Plus what the heck has castor done to deserve any support.

Beemer being less than a "perfect answer"? Yes, and cyanide gas is less than the "perfect answer" as an asthma treatment :). Maybe Franky Fina would be worse, but he must not have been available

Castor was second in command, and in any other scenario would have - without question and without raising an eyebrow - filled out the remaining three months. Any other gymnastics would be ludicrous
The hyperbole of a "convicted felon selecting her own replacement" is rather Zipay-Ish. :)

The fact that the "power block" has been reacting like a bunch of firemen - sliding down the fire pole on their way to a four alarm blaze - all falling over one another to get Beemer in charge of the office..........well, even Stevie Wonder can make out that scene

Alas

Can't wait until Fake Corman gets precisely what he deserves - kicked to the curb by the fine people of Central Pennsylvania that he has repeatedly stabbed in the back. That scumbag deserves to go down and go down hard.
