Great post from VAtoSC on The Mat forum! I say it’s an PSU vs. Iowa battle.

Obviously this will be greatly affected by guys changing weights, redshirting (regular and Olympic next year), transfer, injuries, etc.

But going into the 2019-20 the team title seems to be much closer than the previous couple of years with 3-4 teams having realistic chances.

My guess of the top 10..

1. Penn State- IF Cassar comes back and Hall doesn't redshirt they could have a lineup of Teske, Bravo-Young, Lee, Verkleeren, Berge, Joseph, Hall, Brooks, Beard and Cassar. That is a lot of talent..

2. Iowa- Some big IF's on Olympic redshirts and weight changes, but could look like Lee, DeSanto, Murin/Renteria, Lugo, Young/Brands, Marinelli, Kemerer, Wilcke, Warner, Cassioppi

3. Oklahoma State-Does Fix redshirt? Where do Smith and Smith go? Could look like Piccininni, Fix, Brock, Gfeller, Lewallen, Smith, Wittlake, ?, Greer, ?

4. Ohio State-Some what of a drop due to graduation hits, but lots of talent in a lineup that could have Heinselman, Pletcher, Stickley, Sasso, Hayes, Campbell, Jordan, Hoffman, Moore, Kerkvliet

5. Michigan-Should have a strong team next year. Could look like Mattin, Micic, Silva, Storr, Lewan, Massa, Amine, Embree, ?, Parris

6. Missouri- Eierman will take the OLY RS, but the rest of the lineup could look like Punke, Johnson, ?, Leeth, Mauller, Jacques, Flynn, Wisman, Koelling, Elam

7. Cornell-Does Yanni take a redshirt? Do any freshmen start? Could look like Arujau, Tucker, Diakomihalis, Furnas, ?, ?, Ramirez, Dean, Darmstadt, Fernandez

8. Virginia Tech- Does Lewis take an OLY RS? Who replaces Sleigh at 197? Hokies could look like Latona, Myers/Gerardi, M. Moore, B. Moore/Andonian, Laprade, Lewis, McFadden, Bolen, Smeltzer, Borst

9. Nebraska- Some question marks down low and at 149, but could look like Thomsen, Lovett, Red, ?, Robb, White, Labriola, Venz, Schultz, Jensen

10. Arizona State- Most people think Valencia bumps up and doesn't redshirt, could look like Courtney, Busiello, ?, Maruca, Teemer, Shields, A. Valencia, Z. Valencia, Norfleet, Hall

HM- NC State, Rutgers, Minnesota, Wisconsin, UNC, Iowa State

4. Ohio State-Some what of a drop due to graduation hits, but lots of talent in a lineup that could have Heinselman, Pletcher, Stickley, Sasso, Hayes, Campbell, Jordan, Hoffman, Moore, Kerkvliet
Campbell graduated. Kerkvliet blew out his knee recently. Heinselman, Hayes, Smith, and Singletary combined for 4 pts.

Sasso and Hoffman look good, but otherwise their tanshirts didn't really impress. Some good but empty records, few good wins. Stickley and Jordan didn't compete at all.

Romero has no offense and Mattox didn't have a great tanshirt year. Ryan may be forced to start Kharchla as a true freshman at 165.

4th is highly optimistic. Much more likely a rebuilding year in Columbus.

Either Parrish or Sjomeling will wrestle 133# with Purinton at 149#. Lovett will redshirt along with Davenport and one of them will wrestle 149# in 2020.
Thomsen went 13-2 losing decisions to Petry & McKee from Minnesota

What if it ends up like 2018 and Cenzo/Marinelli decides the team race on Saturday night!?

No shak coming back?

Stickley is more likely to be a room guy than a starter I’m thinking Hayes, Kinner, and possibly D’emilio battle it out for 141

Hasn't kerk been back and competing at full strength a couple months now? Is this a new injury you speak of after he had surgery?
