Flo is keeping track of teams wrestle-offs from around the country
Some notables so far
OSU: 125: Peyton Fenton dec. Vinny Kilkeary, 2-1. Fenton is a transfer from Virginia, redshirt freshman
ISU: Anthony Echemendia! (Didn't realize he was back at ISU) won by TF in his only match so far (149)
Redshirt Senior Carter Schmidt beats Manny Rojas 4-3 in TB-1. Rojas was one of Barr's biggest rivals in HS
ORST: 174: Travis Wittlake dec. Mason Reiniche, 4-3. Wittlake appears to be confirmed at 174 now
CHAT: Brayden Palmer moving down to 125? Was RD16 at 133 last year, only losing to RBY and Phillippi (Both by three points)

Swiderski goes down! Both Frost’s winning is kind of big as well. I thought they were the underdogs against Grice and Redding.

Bouzakis and Mendez with closer matches than expected. Cannon is a true freshman. Thought Mendez would beat him by more

It is hard to tell with the close matches in wrestle offs. Sometimes it’s just room familiarity, but the truth is that these top schools just have some absolute studs in the room

Biggest notes from this are no Trumble, no Ryan Jack and no Matthew Singleton. All had some good freestyle performances this offseason. Trumble obviously was just at u23s. I expect him and Singleton to shirt this season.

Also Zeke Seltzer beating Crawford. Seltzer was a pretty big recruit so I thought he would find the lineup but Crawford is tough as well so that’s a nice win
