TV alert: #1 men’s volleyball on B1G+ now [spoiler alert]

Thanks to SLUPSU’s post yesterday about men’s volleyball being #1, I checked today’s TV schedule for PSU events. Unfortunately nothing on regular Big Ten Channel, but there are three events on B1G+, for those that subscribe:

Baseball @ home vs. Binghamton on now (currently 4th inning)
Softball @ home vs. Pitt on now (currently 3rd inning)

The team looked really good except for the service mistakes. Heard someone comment once, maybe an announcer during the olympics like Karch Kiraly, that some service errors are expected because if they don’t push the limits, the serves are too easy for the other team to receive and that offsets the higher serve percentage. I think for this match, though, they’ll be disappointed in that aspect of their play.

Aside from that issue today, there’s nothing to not like about this team. No showboating or attitude, just solid play, consistent effort, and lots of talent on display from start to finish! Rec Hall was empty. Maybe 100-200 fans. I know weekdays are tough for such a remote campus, but it definitely wasn’t an intimidating environment for Ohio State, but they’ll still be credited with a good road win.

Probably won’t get to see them again until the tournament, but look forward to whatever match is televised next.
