“A day in the Life of Sue the Trump supporter…

Sue gets up at 6 a.m. and fills her coffeepot with water to prepare her morning coffee. The water is clean and good because some tree-hugging liberal fought for minimum water-quality standards.

With her first swallow of coffee, she takes her daily medication. Her medications are safe to take because some stupid commie liberal fought to insure their safety and that they work as advertised. All but $10 of her medications are paid for by her employer's medical plan because some liberal union workers fought their employers for paid medical insurance - now Sue gets it too.

She prepares her morning breakfast, bacon and eggs. Sue's bacon is safe to eat because some girly-man liberal fought for laws to regulate the meat packing industry.

In the shower, Sue reaches for her shampoo. Her bottle is properly labeled with each ingredient and its amount in the total contents because some crybaby liberal fought for her right to know what she was putting on her body and how much it contained.

Sue dresses, walks outside and takes a deep breath. The air she breathes is clean because some environmentalist wacko liberal fought for laws to stop industries from polluting our air.

She walks to the subway station for her government-subsidized ride to work. It saves her considerable money in parking and transportation fees because some fancy-pants liberal fought for affordable public transportation, which gives everyone the opportunity to be a contributor.

Sue begins her work day. She has a good job with excellent pay, medical benefits, retirement, paid holidays and vacation because some lazy liberal union members fought and died for these working standards. Sue's employer pays these standards because Sue's employer doesn't want his employees to call the union.

If Sue is hurt on the job or becomes unemployed, she'll get a worker compensation or unemployment check because some stupid liberal didn't think she should lose her home because of her temporary misfortune.

It's noon and Sue needs to make a bank deposit so she can pay some bills. Sue's deposit is federally insured by the FSLIC because some godless liberal wanted to protect Sue's money from unscrupulous bankers who ruined the banking system before the Great Depression.

Sue has to pay her Fannie Mae-underwritten mortgage and her below-market federal student loan because some elitist liberal decided that Sue and the government would be better off if she was educated and earned more money over her lifetime.

Sue is home from work. She plans to visit her father this evening at his farm home in the country. She gets in her car for the drive. Her car is among the safest in the world because some America-hating liberal fought for car safety standards.

She arrives at her childhood home. Her generation was the third to live in the house financed by Farmers' Home Administration because bankers didn't want to make rural loans. The house didn't have electricity until some big-government liberal stuck his nose where it didn't belong and demanded rural electrification.

She is happy to see her father, who is now retired. Her father lives on Social Security and a union pension because some wine-drinking, cheese-eating liberal made sure he could take care of himself so Sue wouldn't have to.

Sue gets back in her car for the ride home, and turns on a radio talk show. The radio host keeps saying that liberals are bad and conservatives are good. He doesn't mention that Republicans have fought against every protection and benefit Sue enjoys throughout her day.

Sue agrees: "We don't need those big-government liberals ruining our lives! After all, I'm self-made and believe everyone should take care of themselves, just like I have."”

But what happens to Sue when she crosses the street and liberal nanny state isn't there to protect her???

Sue also has gotten 2 doses of all 3 vaccines, double masks with a face shield even in the shower, is afraid of any human within 10 feet of her, and thinks schools should stay remote for the next 5 years.
Uhh, Sue is a Trump Cultist.

Your reading comprehension needs (a lot of) work.

Thank God for unions, and with a little luck Amazon will be joining their ranks shortly.

Speaking for myself, the Democrats have been a positive influence on society, especially the moderate Dems. However, the party has completely jumped the shark once they started caving to the looney far Left.

How about posting something about a day in the life of Tyreke a 10-year-old boy living in the south side of Chicago. Or, Selena, a 10-year-old girl living in a poor Latino neighborhood in Los Angeles.

All these things you mention people had under Trump and former presidents.

In Sues list I did not see one thing I didn't have any better under Trump or past presidents.

BUT, do you know who gave these things to you ?

Yes, we do know. It was everybody other than Sue. Imagine society when everybody becomes Sue and there's nobody around to make sure Sue gets the things on her list.

I would agree with most of the list except the union part of it. There is no reason why individuals cannot be treated and paid based on their individual performance. That's the way it was for me for over 35 years. It made me work hard and not slack off, and that brought more wealth to the country that the unions now get to enjoy.

Unions protect bad performers from getting fired, and they tend to prevent good performers from advancing. It denies higher performing, non-union people from opportunities. That isn't healthy for productivity in any way shape or form. It promotes laziness, and that lowers living standards.

Union jobs tend to be relatively basic jobs where there’s a relatively high supply of the labor and the work relatively undifferentiated. In these cases, its better for the individuals to collectively bargain.

police, nurses, teachers, factory workers

In other words, you will never find a union where the education and quality of work make a big difference on the quality of product.

Financial services, tech, etc. - no unions.

Teddy was effectively a liberal
He was religious and opposed the extremism of Bryan. Wouldn't tolerate crime, minorities not taking responsibility for their families and riots. Far, far away from the core value of the Democrats.

Unions had their time and purpose. Now they are exactly as you describe. The things my wife deals with on the union side of her company are laughable.

Please tell me that you don't actually attempt to teach people. The point was that these various social programs/innovations generally occurred because people the Republicans love to tar as socialist or libtards fought for them, and put them in place. The fact that Trump (or some other Republican) may have been elected to office after such programs /innovations were already in place means nothing. Nada. Zero. Zip. Capisce?

Wow. Paoli comes clean on how Democrats feel about Police (well this one we knew), nurses, and teachers. They're all the same -- Just a 'dime a dozen' (high supply) commodity labor to society.

I thought we all (Democrats) agreed not to say that part out loud, no?

Wow. Paoli comes clean on how Democrats feel about Police (well this one we knew), nurses, and teachers. They're all the same -- Just a 'dime a dozen' (high supply) commodity labor to society.

I thought we all (Democrats) agreed not to say that part out loud, no?
He's also ignorant as hell. Quality of work doesn't affect quality of product? Say that to a union construction firm, union plumber, pipe fitter, or electrician.

Good to see you back on the board. Did the fires out there impact you?

Hey, @franklinman, Paoli thinks you're a dime a dozen.

Thanks, HL. Luckily, no we were safe from the fires. They happened a good 10 miles from where we live - The fires were actually a few miles south of Boulder, and we live in town (even the north half of town). I have a few friends where which the fires missed their houses by less than a football field though, and many of their neighbors houses are gone.

Have one ex-coworker with which I used to shoot pool where, looking at the fire's path, I don't know how his house could have been spared. Seems his phone number didn't transfer last time I got a new phone, so no way to connect with him.

In any event, an awful situation for a lot of families. As fast as it moved, it's a miracle more people didn't die.

Sue doesn't have a last name????

Is she an unnamed source?

Republican Richard Nixon started the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) you dumbass. And Sue only has the "right to vote" because the GOP pushed for passage of the 19th Amendment.
