Those seniors who chose to return next year because they would have missed their final year in their sport will receive their full scholarships from PSU. A number of lacrosse players who are seniors have already announced their intention to return. The cost of funding the additional scholarship year across all spring sports which were cancelled due to Covid is estimated to be approximately $700,000. There is no word on how the total numbers of scholarships permitted would be dealt with, perhaps I missed something from the NCAA on this, as incoming freshmen will be receiving scholarships as well.
