Should MLB make Pete Rose eligible for the Hall of Fame?

Pete has sent a letter to the MLB Commissioner asking to be made eligible.

My thoughts? Many large institutions are seen today as being pretty sleazy and MLB is no exception. Between that and the fact that MLB is actually in partnership with legal gambling outfits now makes excluding Pete look silly. When powerful entities that are perceived as immoral moralize over others then it makes them seem even more immoral. I agreed with banning Pete in 1989 but it should be lifted now.

But that's just my opinion. What's yours?

I don't remember the complete history but I don't think he ever bet against his team. That in my opinion would be the kill shot so I never thought he should have been left out. One of the greatest players ever yes. One of the most colossal douchebags ever yes again.

I've always been of the opinion that he should be in for what he did on the field. But then I heard recently about how he was known for going after 14 to 15-year-old girls. I'm fine with him being left out.
