The participants are primarily professionals in the State College area not students. I'd say it's probably 80% townfolk, 20% students - and it's an absolute blast (plus it's for a good cause)/

Please do, it's a whole lot of fun (although I am a bit prejudiced since I run it).

I will recommend this - go whole hog. You can often pick out first year participants because they are the ones that show up just wearing a hat, thinking they'll be inconspicuous. The reality is, those who under dress are the ones who stand out. You can not over do it. If you are at a loss as to what to wear, just head out to a Party City (in State College, in the Barnes and Nobel plaza just across from the Nittany Mall) and use one of our 15% off discount coupons. You can get decent outfits for as little as $8-$12.
