With heroin addicts there's no need to overanalyze why someone died.

Heroin kills in two ways. 1) It requires higher and higher dosing until the person dies trying to get the same intensity of high that they've gotten in the past. 2) It essentially causes long-term (and often permanent) clinical depression because the brain's pleasure sensors are kind of worn out. Both these things lead people to kill themselves with overdoses.

Happens to porn actors but also happens plenty to mainstream Hollywood actors, or basically anyone who has money for heroin.
