Question about game day parking for Delaware

Hi -- I am coming to the game on Saturday but don't have pre-paid parking. How likely are the gameday lots to fill up for this game?

I'm camping with my son at the KOA in Bellefonte. Would it be more convenient to Uber/Lyft from the campground to the stadium if parking isn't readily available?
Thanks in advance!

Personally, I would buy a parking pass from a scalper. They are all over the place on gameday, even last week when the lots were packed. I doubt they'll fill up this week.

for people unfamiliar with PSU and the stadium on game day, I always recommend parking at the Hills Plaza and taking the game day shuttle. It is $2.20 for the shuttle (parking is free). It starts two hours before kickoff and the last bus leaves the stadium one hour after the final gun.

The city gives the bus preferential treatment and a special lane which makes getting in and out easy. Sometimes you have to wait for a bus after the game but I doubt that will be a problem with Delaware because most people will leave well before the end of the game. The other potential downside is you can't waist too much time after the game. Sometimes you can get a food truck or hang out at the player's entrance. You can do some of this but not much.

If you want to visit downtown, I suggest you get into State College in the AM and grab breakfast along with a walk to buy shirts/stuff. then drive to the plaza and park a couple of hours before kickoff.

When you ara done and dropped off back at your car, you will be passed most of the heavy traffic for a quick breeze home. There are also places to eat in the area.

Till now I had been recommending getting a parking pass from a scalper. That's changed since I found out that the WV fan behind me paid $120 for one last week.

Rain could be a factor and make parking in the fields a problem. Grab a bus out by Walmart on the Benner Pike, you're quickest exit back to the campground. Get dropped off at the stadium for $2.25 and they'll take you back
I believe you are right on 81b&w root beer.
We in NEPA are blasted with heavy rains thought the afternoon, no power, etc. Should State College have received the same with forecasts of rain tomorrow, probably best to park at Hills Shopping center as Obliv suggested.

I thought they commuted folks from Walmart but I guess Hills is the option now, my mistake

Not that bad, cash lots (25 and 36) are $100 on gameday and are 3x further away from the stadium. Though exiting from Lot 25 is probably your easiest escape traffic wise.

I believe Hills is the South option and maybe Walmart is the N Atherton option.
The Nittany Mall was the east option in the past, but that may not be pick up location any longer because of the casino
I think you are talking about Walmart by the mall which I believe is Fullington bus.
CATA game day shuttles start 3 hours before the game, if you wanted earlier the Atherton Connector runs from Hills plaza to downtown then you could ride a loop for free.
We rode the CATA South Atherton shuttle from Hills last week and it was an easy way in and out. University drive around the stadium is closed for one hour after the game for busses to make the U turn and leave. That is why they end one hour after game.
